I mean, as long as it has enough life boats, and it doesn’t have the same structural flaws the original had, then yeah by all means! I don’t know how big of a risk another iceberg would be, but that and other things need to be taken into consideration. I mean they just need to design it to be up to par with the regulations and codes all modern ships today need to meet. If so, then I’m sure it will do fine. The only other risk would be if there is a terrorist on board, but that would probably not be all that likely.
The structure wasn’t as much as the issue as it was the materials. The steel used then was top of the line at the time. But we can make way better quality materials now. Ultimately, the Titanic was asked to do something it simply wasn’t made to do. The fact that she stated afloat for over 2 hours is something that technically shouldn’t be possible for her. But she stayed as long as she could for people to escape. A lot more people would’ve went down if the Titanic went down in a few minutes then a few hours
