Hello! I'm Chadu, a Filipino Graphic Designer by profession who just happens to love playing the bass on the side. I love doing short jams of any music that has amazing basslines and showcasing my bass gear.

Pwede po malaman kung ano po amp settings niyo po? hehe
@@larrencefletchetero9928 hello! Wala akong amp sir. Nakadirect lang ako sa audio interface. Wala na timpla or eq. Passive sound na mismo sya nung bass. Hope this helps
@@ChaduPlaysBass ay okay po hehe, ganda po talaga ng tone ng bass niyo ☺️

@@jrme6251 oo sir. Ung rap part may fuzz at chorus para tunog synth. Tapos clean na the rest.

aww this is very cute!
thank you! she is so adorable and loves the bass!
Ang galing sir! ❤
Mamaw yung tunog. Hanep
Salamat sir!
What is the pedal's name with a Bull's head on it?
It's a Bass Preamp/DI made in the Philippines called ElectricNim
swabe. Ano tuning ng guitar mo sir?
Salamat sir! Standard EADG tuning lang ung bass hehe
Sounds great! I’m curious what drive your using in the hx stomp?
Thank you! I’m using the Teemah and I put it on path B so I can retain some low-end. Love the subtle saturation on my channel A on the Capo paired with the Teemah. That’s my go to combination on drive-y songs
@@ChaduPlaysBass sweet, I’ll have to try it out. I’ve got a capo and stomp as well so always looking for some fun combos
@@stevehurleydesign Nice! the capo stacks so well with any drives in the stomp. My fave is Teemah and Pillars(Plumes)
Board looks and sounds amazing, but good luck using the octave-only switch on the octabvre, no way you are able to step only in that switch right?
Thank you! I’ll just play barefoot lol. Atm I’ve not had any problems switching during our pub gigs here in London. Most songs we play won’t require me to do busy tap dancing on switches. Songs like Bad Guy by Billie Eillish and we belong together by Mariah Carey is how I ideally use it at the moment. Like in my previous video covers :)
Great tone man 👌🏾
Thank you man! Really appreciate it. 😊
You could use that board vertically and flip that last pedal at this point! Very good use of space man
Bro whats your GAS ?sounds awesome btw
Thanks bro! GASsing on a Dingwall ABZ or Combustion 5 hehe
Love the new setup!
Thank you! Covers alot of my musical needs. Really happy with the tones I get. Cheers!
Beautiful and versatile board!! Awesome playing as well!
Thank you good sir. Covers so much of the stuff that I do. Kinda miss an external compressor but the one in the stomp works fine. Cheers!
Sounds awesome! What’s the signal path with the effects loops?
Thank you! So my signal chain goes: bass into the Capo << then I have the Stomp in the post loop of the Capo and the 3LA in the fx loop of the Stomp. I like my modulations to go last but at the same time still use the preamp out DI of the Capo. I find this working for me more than putting the Capo last in the chain right after the stomp. In my stomp I have compressor first>polyphonic octaver>fx loop(octabvre and doom2)>drive>chorus>reverb I like to put my 3LA in the fx loop as I have patch where I set it up with just one press it activates octabvre+doom2+autofilter+chorus for an instant moog sound. So many routing options you can do with the Capo tbh I haven't tried everything yet :D
@@ChaduPlaysBass this is helpful. I just received my Capo and also have the hx stomp and there’s just so many options 😅
Sounds killer! I've been hearing more and more about the Capo, seems rad!
Thank you! It is amazing! My brother, who is an audio engineer loves that I can give him both an affected signal and a clean signal during our recording sesh for our songs we've bee working on. So much you can do with it. I also find the channel B if you push it a bit, kinda gives a fuzz sound, which is weird sounding or think it is ugly when you play alone but when you put it in music context it sits in the mix. So many useable tones IMO.
As an owner of both doom pedals and every existing version of the Octabvre I have to say, they are highly overrated and hyped too crazy. They are good, no question especially the doom is kind of special in its approach, the Octabvre lacks clearance and has way too many „bad“ artifacts soundwise. Try the Cog Octabvre instead or the script logo mk 2 Octabvre, I sold the mk3 very very fast, for insane money. The best octave is still original OC-2. find someone who does a proper output mod and sub only switch and you have the best octave by far.
And in comparison the mK2 of the Octabvre sounds way more organic and open. The mk3 always sound compressed, tracks far less good and doesn’t cut through the mix. I tried them both on live gigs.
Hey man, thanks for your insight. I’ve yet to explore my mkiii. Heard so many good things about the mkii. A bit on the fence with the octabvre but for now it is useable for me and what I do. I really want to try the cog too. The Doom2 has been amazing in my experience this one is definitely a keeper for me.
@@ChaduPlaysBass doom is awesome and no comparison to others. Sounds good what you say :)
Spencer is a twat and way overrated pedals. The hype wagon is real and sad.
@@Bibblebabbler why is there a need to talk smack to a person who did you no wrong? The guy makes honest work and builds pedals and people like it so what? Geez
Damn that production value! Good stuff my dude, really great sounds.
Aw thank you! Glad you like it. Filmed everything using my phone and the video production minor subject I learned in uni came in handy. Cheers!
interesting Pedalboard. What is that? Helix + Pedal should around 28cm in depth and Helix + Capo should be around 30cm in width. Exact what i´m looking for. But can´t find one with these specs. Thanks
Thanks mate! I’m using a pedalboard made by a local builder here in the UK called Bastow Pedlboards. It’s a 12x8” board. He does custom sizes and has ready made ones. Hope this helps. Love compact boards

Lower that action so that strings can growl a little more!
the action is already low for my taste :D
pancada
What’s the bass guitar?
I'm using a Lakland 55-94
That bass tone is immaculate!
Thank you sir!
ganda ng pagka cover m sir, ganda pa ng tunog ng bass m
Salamat sir!
How you getting these juicy sounds?
The secret sauce is the octave>fuzz>>chorus combinaton. ;)
Damn good bass
🔥🔥🔥
That tone 😩❤
Love recreating the synth part of this song, was really fun. Thanks!
Очень неудобная расстановка. Видно. И чувствуется.
Nice board. I like your dry sound too. I use a clean booster in front of my mxr envelope filter. It gives an extra spice to the sound. Give it a try. You won't regret it.
Aw thanks! I've an updated board that I will be demoing soon. My board now only has the HX stomp, Doom2 and Octabvre MkIII which I love :)
🔥🔥🔥
Nice and compact and I like your choice of pedals! Just wondering. What model pedalboard did you use?
Thanks so much! I'm using a mono lite pedalboard. Will be posting my updated board. I went simpler with my setup. I'm now running an HX stomp, Doom2 and Octabvre mk3 :) I can do the sounds in this vid with my current one. Excited to upload it soon! Cheers!
Great video ! Do you have the file to replicate the design ? I've offered one to a friend and really like to provide the decal of the wonderful design.
Thank you! Here's the link: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1D7VBuSN4-clgJaI5dVNNyVGthwXcFWUF?usp=sharing
VERY IMPRESSIVE!
Hello friend! What are the dimensions of your board?
Hello my friend, I'm using the Mono lite pedalboard. It's 14" x 5.7" size. Love the look and form factor of it. ike it better than my PT nano which I sold
Great video! I like your setup. All the pedals sound 🔥, especially the Proton envelope filter.
Bicentennial!!!
Love that bassline!
Nice! what do you think of using the compressor before the oc2? Wouldn't it squash your tone if you went for a lower volume octave by using it at the end? I have a similar configuration and basically cant decide if using the compressor before the octaver or at the end of the chain
Very subtle and hardly noticeable tbh, I've tried both but I'm leaning into the compressor end of the chain before the preamp/drive. Always liked octave pedals to be earliest in the chain so they are fed with your cleanest signal.
Very impressive and compact. Might try something like this myself since I happen to own the same pedals... 😂
Very nice tone! What Bass are you playing?
Thank you! Glad you like it. I'm using my Fodera monarch. But only in passive mode
