I wonder what it takes to get a clean delamination of the copper layer on PCB stock. God knows it doesn't seem to have any trouble lifting off an old board when you don't want it to. 🤬

Hi there, I have two Calmato Sports 40 planes and a friend is selling his Calmato Sports 60. Is it a well built plane and is it strong? Do you enjoy flying it? I have an 91 fourstroke which I think would be a good engine for the Calmato Sports 60 if I do buy it. Regards Aidan

Hello Aidan, this is a good plane, you should buy it before someone else does. It needs some improvements, though. I added a link in the video subscription. In that thread I uploaded many images so you can see what I did.

if you test a 12v rated pump to 24, you are overvolting it's current capacity considerably, but in this case you undervolted to 50% the 24v rated pump which will barely have enough current to push it.

Some cheap tips are made from 100% iron. Once oxidised, they become quite useless for heating or wetting solder. Copper tips work fine even with an air gap. The heating element bumps against the tip at the front.

Hello Extremflug, one question I have a Kadet LT-40 plane, would you recommend this 15cc engine, do you think it would fit? I would really appreciate your comment as your videos are very good. Greetings!!
@Extremflug2 жыл бұрын
Hello Manilo, I just had a look at the LT-40's data, and it is nearly identical in size, but about 1kg lighter. So I assume the 10ccm version might be enough. You have to check though, if they are identical in weight or the 15ccm is just a tad heavier, you might go for the 15cc and enjoy the extra power. But, especially if you choose the 15ccm version, you absolutely neet to do the following: 1) Clear the space behind the firewall, I think there is a board midway to mount the tank on. Then apply generous glass fiber reinforcement connecting the firewall to the fuselage sides and bottom. Gas engines shake more than glow. 2) I highly recommend to use the Du-Bro No. 682 Motor Mount. Exactly this one! Try to source one via ebay, it is definitely needed. 3) Get a double-strut front wheel, like I did on my plane. Single-strut does not work well with the heavier gas engines.

I am thinking about buying the same plane and engine. Was it difficult to balance with the added weight of the engine?
@Extremflug2 жыл бұрын
Not that difficult, but I have two batteries 2s A123 26650, one for ignition and one for RC each. I put those as far back in the RC bay as possible. Now the plane is maybe a tad nose-heavy. But adding a bit of lead at the tail would be no problem, the weight would not be heavy because of the good leverage. But you really need to reinforce the firewall with a couple layers of glass fibre inside to transfer the load to the fuselage sides. Otherwise the engine might fly on it's own one day I fear. I have uploaded some build images for you: www.dropbox.com/sh/fqp5r3auail1dc0/AABvQAxkn0tm69IpfPF2Aq7Pa?dl=0 Please tell me when you downloaded them so I can take them form the server.
