This show had a good story but the overall execution of it was poor, it didn’t do what it was trying to do and it ended up doing more harm than good. For example with the magic system it’s trying to take inspiration from other forms of media but it didn’t stand on its own and it made the magic system more confusing than it needed to be. Also I don’t dislike the show but it needed more months in the oven since the overall direction of the show was poor at best.

As someone who just found this video with no idea what this is, this feels normal? Don’t see the issue, the child probably shouldn’t even have the sword in the first place.. Just feels like a random scene from a pilot episode or something, there isn’t much of an issue I can see with it. Animation looks nice and the characters seem likable!

SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im so scared people wont like a potential pilot that i want to release alongside a kickstarter because the animation isnt good enough. i know HGS has some really trashy animation, but im scared that people are too harsh on animated shows these days. it feels like you have to go above and beyond to please them these days. “Welcome to Hell”wouldn’t fare well if it was released in 2024…
