Atlanta is going to be as expensive as California. We have seen property taxes are getting higher. People leaving from expensive places and paying rediculous prices to buy houses which is normal to them but making buying next to impossible for local residents. In this video of mine, not only will you see what can one get in grocery store but also compare the price of items in Indian rupees as per 2024 conversion rate. My network of friends found this video to be helpful and they were amazed with different Indian grocery options in USA.

@@SwatiinUSA I don't think there are people in India who still believe we can't get this or that Indian items in US or Canada or Dubai or Singapore. This is a global world. This thought of being people being amazed that "aarey chawanpraash bhi milta hai wahan" is absolutely outdated. Also that conversion rate thing is wrong. Then you also have to convert your earning in rupees. For eg if you want to tell them one way ticket on Miami bus is Rs.170/- while it is Rs. 10/- in Mumbai local train that is not giving the true picture. Your salary also needs to be converted to Rs. then. Anyways all the best.

Hi Neeraj. Thanks for watching our video and reaching us out. We moved to Atlanta from California last year and have been liking it so far. Housing prices are affordable, low gas prices and state taxes. People are friendly. There is large Indian community in Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Cumming areas. Our kid is in Kindergarten right now and schools in Atlanta are really good, not sure about the higher education. However, there is Georgia state university close by. Hope this helps! It’s definitely going to be way cheaper in Georgia than DC. If you live in a goodarea, schools are excellent, great Uni’s - Emory for medicine, UGA, Georgia Tech for Engineering etc. Weather is gd, get hot summers winters are lighter can do with just jackets. Traffic can be horrendous but doesn’t affect remote workers. One of the largest Mandhir in USA. Large Indian population especially IT

Hey! Thanks for watching our video. We moved to Atlanta, GA because of my husband’s job and affordability as compared to California. Since we moved to Atlanta, we have noticed lower taxes, lower house prices, low gas prices, lot of greenery (we use to feel dry in southern california) good weather and you can see all 4 seasons in Atlanta. I personally felt people are more friendly and supportive here. It’s not over crowded, over expensive as it was in California. Yes we do miss beaches sometimes as there were lot of beaches in California but Atlanta has lakes, mountains, and other fun activities to do. We moved here an year ago and yet we have to explore Atlanta. One can go to Savannah, Halen is a beautiful spot to go to or can take a cruise ride to Bahamas, Florida. We are liking Atlanta so far. Jis shop mei gayi ho uska name to batana chahiye na
Hi, I didn’t want to specify one particular name for indian grocery store so I didn’t mention the name of it but you can see the store name “cherians” in the starting of this video😊
Hello Swati, my name is Neeraj Mittal. I am from north india, currently living in Washington DC. Post COVID, my job is fully remote. We are looking forward to move to some less expensive place. Need some feedback about Atlanta. How is this place in terms of education, higher education, IT job market etc. Do you like this place?
Feel free to reach out on my insta id: swati_in_usa or email : [email protected]

I’m curious to know what made u leave CA and what made u choose GA. You showed your move only but I would like to know what factors you considered and what trade offs you made to make this choice, if you don’t mind sharing. Thanks!
Let me know if you have any other questions🙂
@@SwatiinUSA thank you so much. This totally makes sense and good luck for your new phase of life in Atlanta !
