    Why even announce a product and never release it. Hollyland basically changed the entire ecosystem to Pyro and left Mars users out of it.

    the idea of having a "pelican" type case for hex keys, gaffer tapes and sensor cleaner is a bit of an overkill lahhh....most of the time we dump those things in a small gym bag is more than sufficient, this type or protective case is more for lens, camera bodies etc...where that type of layered protection is needed!

    Thanks for this footage. These lenses are absolutely exquisite. Personally, I’m happy to trade the weight for the speed, compared to something like the NiSi Athena. These also have just a bit more character (softer corners, slightly more flare) which I also quite like. Really these tick all the boxes for me.

    im still deciding whether to sell my nisi primes and just buy the arles. or keep both? nisi for size and weight for gimbal and arles for static shots? you think both athena and arles will mesh well together in one cinematic film/piece?

  • @nick_salazar
    @nick_salazar3 сағат бұрын

    @@theodorereid4406 hey Theodore, I have been in a similar situation. So yes, you can definitely intercut Arles and Athena together easily. Honestly with enough coloring skills, you can get just about anything to play well together. Movies routinely switch from Panavision C-series anamorphics with all their character, over to ultra-clean Zeiss spherical lenses, and no one bats an eye. As far as keeping both or just going with one set ... keep an eye on my channel, I'll be discussing exactly that quandry in the next few weeks.

    Hi Matt - a noob question: are there any disadvantages using full frame fine lemnses on a S35 sensor? I have a Canon C70 but if I invest in lenses I’d prefer to future proof with a full frame lens.

  • @Newsshooter
    @Newsshooter9 күн бұрын

    No, especially not with clean lenses. Full frame lenses on S35 cameras will often yield better edge and corner sharpness.

    ...the automatic base iso could be improved. It would be nice, if the Base Iso switches to the nearest base iso instead to change when you reach or pass a base iso. That would deliver always an image with less noise....It would be great, to have that option

    Thanks for the quick review / demo of the 32-bit float operation. I guess it is a fare trade off that the headphone jack shuts off during recording because who is going to want to fiddle around with plugging in a headphone while the recorder is clipped to someone's butt? That's a lawsuit waiting to happen anyway.

    good job, but can't you get that from equatorial mounts for large telescopes, and they 'target' stars with that tech, using the encoders to tell the motors how to move.

    The Lavalier II is a bit overpowering in the low end but still had some decent high-end detail. The Lavalier seems very bright by comparison, but the sensitivity to in the high end makes sense if you’re hiding it under clothing or using heavy wind protection. Its less sensitive low end actually eliminates a lot of the room tone. The GO was the most neutral, but it also picked up the most room tone and seemed to have worse sound quality overall, which makes sense for a budget mic.

    Hey Hollyland, I sent you an email a while ago requesting to unlock the USB-C port for headphones, as I need it for my work with car-to-car and drone-to-car shots without the bulky headset being visible on the hero car driver. It’s great that you’ve implemented this feature! Could you please send me the firmware? Thanks!

    After watching this video I went ahead and purchased the VB212 Mini V-Mount Battery on April 16th, 2024. I already own 8 VB155 Mini V-Mount Batteries with no issues. But this VB212 Battery is already showing to be defective. As of this writing, July 5th, 2024, while charging the battery via the USB-C1 port, the charging percentage is stuck at 4 percent and it's been charging for over 12 hours. It is definitely defective. The problem now is getting it replaced here in the US, since SmallRig company is in China and the 30 day window for returns at B&H Photo has expired. I'm now have a $477 paper weight. Highly upset to say the least.
