I know this vid is a couple years old now, and I hope you can take some constructive criticism to improve... but MAN please stop flinging that camera around like that, it's disorienting and nauseating on larger screens. SLOW camera movements, if not a stationary tripod! Thanks.
Oh trust me, you should take a look at some of my most recent videos, a lot better videography. But I do appreciate your feedback! I'm all for improving in all areas.
@@hunterrwiilson Great! I will check out some more. We all start somewhere. Even ChrisFix started somewhere!
@@AimingWanderously "HEYY GUYSS, Hunter Wilson here" lol
I just bought a 2018 F150 5.0. I've always run Flowmaster Super 44"s on everything I've had since 2009. And they sound phenomenal!! BUT, I've been wanting to swap to Corsa extremes for a while now. But, it seems like they've stopped selling the extreme single muffler. They now have the Pro series in its place and was contemplating it. But, you may have sold me on them. But, I always run true duals from the engine back, getting rid of the y pipe and adding high flow catalytic converters and an X-pipe. These things would sound SOOOOO good on this set-up!!!
SEND IT. Also, please make a video clip on that cause that seems it would sound amazing hahaha
Sounds good. Adding a small resonator before or after the muffler will really with the rasp. I’d recommend Borla pn 401339 or a Total Flow resonator.
@@mattl1576 I’ve been considering, but it’s not too bad rn, maybe if I cam the truck and it gets absolutely ridiculous

You know how we do! 💪
For your phone mount, where do you have the cable ran and hidden at?
It's run from the USB port in that small cubby in front of the shifter, and then up through the dash and out of the corner of that small pocket on the upper dash to the back of my phone mount.
@@hunterrwiilsonthank you bro, I have the same phone mount with the wireless charging and have been trying to figure out if I have to take dash apart to run the cable lmao

Awesome! Praying it all goes well! Of course!
I kinda liked the 3 red lights instead of 2 red 1 white
You're wildin
Bro why u flashin us
Cause I'm showing lights, duhhhhhh
I’ve been experiencing these issues for the past year or so, I addressed the two grounds inside the dash panel for the ignition about 10 months back, and I thought my problems were solved until yesterday when the truck completely shut off on the interstate during rush hour, I’m lucky to be typing this comment out right now, but needless to say I’m about to go check that secondary ground on the underside of my truck now 😅
Praise God that you're alright! But I would address that ground, dig into the distribution box on top of the battery, clean those connections, and put some dielectric grease on before tightening back down. I haven't had a single issue since.
Is your muffler stock?
I think in this video I had a Borla XR-1 muffler
Heads up for when you wanna showcase the reverse lights, throw it in reverse then set your parking brake/ emergency brake. So you can look while showing us.
What's funny is I did that when I didn't have the truck on, and they didn't work, but didn't do it when the truck was actually on 🤦♂😂
@@hunterrwiilson ohh ok 😂
Wish I found this before I put mine on and blew the boots out. Lol
Hahaha, that's why I'm here. I'll be stupid so you don't have too
The same thing happened to me, I just put the same ones on a 2018 Silverado, the boot on both of them broke. Upper control arm, where can I buy the ball joints?
I had to go back to Rough Country and get another set. I told them what happened and they gave me another free set, super cool customer service. As long as you're nice about it lol
Thank You
@@JoseContreras-sy5in No worries!
Great video! Bout to do mine today after work
Thank you! Hope it all went well
Do you think it would have made a difference by sticking with the stock resonator versus potentially buying a different resonator? Think i might go this route
If I had known it would be this raspy/loud I would've kept the stock resonator. Either or will work

Doing this same setup to my 2014, I’m a bit of a DYI mechanic. Great points & hints here, I’ll be making sure those sleeves go in now 😂 I’m also not spending the $2,100 I was quoted to put ball joints on when I can do it myself.

Seems like is -12 offset wheels. It’s perfect poke.
It is I believe!
Also. If u want to know how much wattage are those Lasfit - L series T10 that u out on ur license plate lights. They produce 2.5W. One of the brightest T10 led bulbs on the market. I love them. And they are ultra bright. ❤️🔥 As for ur beam pattern. I would honestly adjust the height a bit down. U want to reduce aiming to other drivers. U want to enjoy, don’t blind others. Not just for u, but for safety of other people. That’s what we did and they are incredibly bright ❤️🔥🙏🏼
The LA plus makes 30W per bulb. But u actually get 28.5W per bulb from observation. I truly hope Lasfit doesn’t get start to get rid of LA plus for LAair. Because it’s a sweet spot for low beams, fog lights, and high beams as well. And especially that handy dandy 360 adjuster collar. I been told by Lasfit customer service. That’s why I been helping my friends and my family to get their hands on LA plus before they are gone. Why? Because the temperature is very low; making them very reliable. How hot? Well we would expect between 160-200+ degrees Fahrenheit huh? Nope. After 27 minutes of run time. It gets down to 96 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s the coolest led bulb: The cooler the led bulb, the longer the lifespan. The hotter the led bulb. The shorter the lifespan. Any led bulb for an all in one unit that makes below 150 degrees Fahrenheit is goodS anything above is soenthing u need to take in the consideration. For the balance of price $70 a pair, the wattage, the temperaturec the 360 adjustable, reliable and longevity. The LA plus is definitely worth the money. I would highly recommend get ur hands on Morimoto - dielectric grease. It’s design to add physical barrier, to protect against moisture from getting in between the connectors. It’s basically cheap insurance policy. Yes they are water proof; but moisture can get in and ruined them. U gotta protect ur led bulb. So get ur hands on them on Amazon.
U definitely get ur money’s worth from Lasfit. Me and my family are running with Lasfit on our vehicles. LD plus switchback on my H11 low beams, LA plus 9005 high beams. My family’s 3rd gen Sienna has LA plus H11 low beam, and LCair 9005 high beams. And for my brother in law’s 05’ Sienna. I need to get new oem reflector headlights, so he can run with led bulbs. I already carry LC plus 9006 low beams and LA plus 9005. But I’m thinking for 9006. I’m thinking either Lasfit - LC plus or Sylvania - SL.BX2 for that 5 year warranty.
They’re a solid company! They’ve been good to me, especially now that they’re an official sponsor
@@hunterrwiilson to my brother in law, I see him as, he just wanted that works and don’t have to think about. What do u think? Lasfit - LC plus 25W or Sylvania - SL.BX2 12W? It may sound less. But atleast with reflector, it will increase the intensity for sylvania better than projector.
@@toyotabrony as someone who has been using LASFIT for years, LASFIT is the way to go
@@hunterrwiilson actually. I’ve been owning for over a year. And I started on with the correct characteristics of the led bulbs. lol. I’ve seen how Lasfit was and got tested by HR 5-6 years ago. Thank god I started it right lol. Alright. I’ll stick with Lasfit then. Have u had any issues with them when they go out? How long u have been good relationship with Lasfit exactly?
@@toyotabrony I've had a couple burn on after a year or so, but I think there's an issue on my truck that is causing it. Other than that they've been great! I just recently got sponsored so it's been really good, they're a fair and respective company with good people!
Do you have your phone charger wired thru your ac vent??
It's wired through the dash and comes up through that smaller pocket/cubby area above the radio. Looks less tacky imo. I did it since my phone mount is up there, wanted a cleaner look
After the y pipe does it come with the pice that connects to the factory exhaust
No it doesn't. It comes with the same circular type exhaust ending so you can clamp it back up to a stock exhaust or maybe a bolt-on aftermarket exhaust.
Okay and what did you do with the back o2 sensor
@@emilliocastorena7361 Threw them away, don't need them anymore. They only monitor the catalytic converters
So just unplug them or leave them hanging?
And is there a check engine light on ?
How does the atak and 3rd cat delete compare to just a muffler delete? that’s all I got on my truck now.
It’s such a distinct and beautiful tone that I’d say a simple muffler delete couldn’t compete with. I know this video is only an idea for the sound but I loved the way it sounded with just the ATAK. I now have LTH and it’s amazing with the same muffler
did you have to tune it or mess with with computer I have a 5.3 sierra 2018
I plan on getting my truck tuned due to further future mods. But just for long tube headers (LTH), I would personally recommend it. Reasons: 1) you're changing the flow of exhaust fumes in which the ECU isn't tuned for, so the truck will run slightly different (not in it's healthiest manner). 2) you're deleting the rear 02 sensors for the CATs so you will have that pesky check engine light, and idk about you but I hate seeing that light lol. 3) if you don't already have a module that turns off the AFM (V4 mode), then you will hear one of the worst noises you've ever heard from a truck engine in its full loudness with LTH
Sounds like crap
Hey buddy awesome video ! I’m about to put SE headers on the new 6.2 high country I just bought. Where’d you get the gold spark plug boots ?
Thanks man!! Dude that's gonna sound sick! I know you'll enjoy that. But I got my sleeves I believe from Amazon. I was looking for through my orders and I couldn't find it, but I know I got them from there.
You should add spacers to your amp mounts to raise it up so it can breath. There's holes on the bottom to cool the amp when it gets hot and laying it flat on the carpet there being blocked. And grounding to the metal floor with self tappers isn't ideal, you should always bolt it to the frame or something that is already bolted to the frame like a seat belt mounting bolt or seat mount bolts.
Good points! I didn't know (or see) those small holes you're talking about but I don't doubt that. I'll keep the spacing and grounding tips in mind for my next setup! I've since moved this setup into another truck
Hey I have a problem with my sierra for some reason my headlights won’t matter what type of light I use is just not bright and when I do the large light it lights like a V please if you know tell me what can I do
Tbh man I don’t know if I fully understand what’s the issue.
@@hunterrwiilsonwhat type of light bulb you use in your headlights?
@@HuevoFernandez-rg2xh they're called Tiny Monster
Great content!! Are you thinking of putting the stock exhaust back with the 1 7/8?
Thanks man!! I do have plans to attach my, currently dangling, Borla ATAK with the new headers 😏it's going to sound glorious. Stick around!
So if u jack the truck up to let new fit since its longer than original.
My truck won’t go back together. I’m scared
Did you ever need to use the sleeves?
Yes! If you stayed towards the end of the video I showed what happens if you don't use them. The ball joint doesn't "seat" and moves around whilst driving. So, it completely shredded the boot and destroyed the ball joint. Had to get another pair and do this process twice. Not fun lol, hope this helps! God bless
@@hunterrwiilson awesome thanks for the quick response and yeah, I thought so. I did install mines. It’s just they just look kind of funny but I’m glad I did and didn’t have to do it twice 😮💨
@@djchopo93 No worries! You just have to insert the sleeves and use a small dead blow, or hammer, to insure they're seated in the knuckle properly. If not, they'll probably still seat with the weight of the truck, but it's just a safe bet when doing it the way I described.
Theres another grounding point at the engine mount area on the same side and what i do is wire wheel the area change the ground wires then instead of using spraypaint I use whats called Cold Galvanizing Compound that sprays on just like paint but protects from the elements way better..
I didn't know about that galvanizing compound! (or back then) Noted for future reference, thanks Michael!
I originally took out my muffeler and the rear resonator. It deff peped the sound up but not alot imo. I then took the tird cat and gutted it and welded it back together and i honsetly cant tell much difference at all. Im wondering if maybe just removing the cat all together and the flapper valve if itll let it get more sound.
I would go ahead and put a new system in. Delete the third cat and get all new piping back to however you life. Seems you’re searching for some genuine rumble, you’ll need to rid of those other components to achieve that
What size rim 17x8.5?? Or 17x9
17x9
Was this the muffler only?
Added the muffler and resonator delete
From an uneducated look to a more educated look, now just bring back the factory colors on the emblems and anything else rattle canned
Thanks for the video.
Of course! God bless
