  Quick note . . . some pads “pop” open better at the hinge than others. It’s typically new or news pads because they are tighter at first. However, in time and with use, you should be able to “pop” them open, too.

  It works for me on most. Some newer pads may not "pop" as easily until they are opened and closed a few times due to tightness.

  I label my plates "Top" and "Bottom" and keep them as such. With each pass through a Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine, I rotate and flip the plates so they are not going through in the same direction each time. This helps to keep my plates flat and minimize warping. Does that make sense?
