    It came out amazing! Although I must say, far from DIY 😂, I am guessing it is very heavy too, which is not an advantage for such application. That said tho, it was super fun to watch you making it and showing off your bad ass skills

  • @pureexpanse

    Thank you for your comment. You are right about DIY. It is a slightly higher level than home use thanks to the equipment I have. But I didn't have it in the past and I messed with profiles, rails, whatever I could. I didn't have a welding machine. I either borrowed it or tried to do it. otherwise. And it can be done, it just takes more time. As for the heaviness, it's definitely heavier than plastic. But I make it from what I find in the scrapyard and as cheaply as possible. I always try to do something different than others. Regards.

    I don't have tools for working with wood, so it's easier for me to make them from aluminum or steel. I work with this and I have these tools. The material cost me $60. Plywood was probably cheaper. Could you do this faster? You'll have to answer for yourself because no, I don't work with wood.

    $20,000 worth of tools to make a $50 box 😢

  • @winfinit
    @winfinit12 күн бұрын

    There’s quite a bit to unpack in this comment. While tools are essential, they’re only part of the equation. To effectively use these tools, you need a variety of skills, including manufacturing knowledge, material understanding, and some mathematical proficiency. Suggesting that this entire process is worth only $50 greatly undervalues the effort involved. In reality, the cost of materials alone can easily exceed twice that amount. Moreover, the time and expertise required to create such a high-quality build would bring the total cost into the several hundreds. It’s important to recognize the true value of craftsmanship and the resources it entails.
