Great presentation. I was the Security Police K-9 handler there from Dec 79-Dec 80. It was interesting times but there were a lot of good people working there. We had a Colonel, a pilot, as base commander while he was waiting to get his wings back after an illness. Great guy. Most there were great guys. God bless all who served.

Is it just me or does the opening music remine of old 70 music. Mostly bad music with girls. The scanner input was a lot of help, thank you.

What year is your laptop, I get as far as connected devices, and nothing is the same. This is a new windows 11 , Any help? I am temped to assume that the cable and connection to the scanner good. Thank you sir for the help.

I have the handheld version, BCD325p2. I found that the XT computer program by BUTEL works great for programming.

You can hear that they're dialing 767-8900 but any number that started with 767 would work. Part of the reason they cut this service, 10,000 more phone numbers in each area code.

Easier way to block a GRP, just hit function and the number when its pulled up (like it is active). You can press hold for more time... No need to block everything else. Or just hit 'hold' and scroll to its system. THANK YOU Erod1944

Hi all. Someone here MAY remember me. I do not do well on names of over 56 years ago. I was a radar operator in 1968-69. Before I forget THANK YOU for this post. I remember 35 cent movies and 15 cent popcorn, and of course the slot machines and 2.5 Budweiser Beer . That gave me the worst headache in history. We would also always clap at the movie when we saw the Pan Am Airlines commercial. OUR RIDE BACK HOME lol. I was the fast pitcher on our softball team that played against G.E. employees. Names I remember were 1st Lt. Nelson who also went to Mt . Laguna AF Sta. CA. When we left Turkey in 1969. Others were Basely, and our crew officer Capt . Coons. One of the airman took alot of pictures. He gave me some when I was pitching ball and I still have them. Thank you. They bring back memories. I played alot of ping pong during our breaks from the 12 hour shifts. Tidbit for you all. Remember the once a week air mail letters we received ? I only had 2 stripes till I got to CA. So money was tight.. I use to take a pencil eraser, erase the cancellation marks off the airmail letter stamps and REUSE them sending letters back home to my wife LMAO. Now today a computer would catch that. I know,. I retired from the US Post Office lol. I was one that also tracked Apollo 11. Great piece of history there July 1969. My name is Jim Florence.
