The logic of good and evil is not great imo The Christian god tolerated and encouraged many evil things such as banning homosexuality, allowing slavery, allowing a slave master to beat his slaves and not punishing the slave master if said beaten slave survives. The penalty for homosexual acts is death (Leviticus chapter 20 verse 13) Therefore, the Christian god allowed some horrible things, that were totally evil. Did evil things too (The flood, killing children in Egypt). So why do atheists have to justify what good and evil is when god’s versions of good and evil are flawed by out standards. Therefore Christians do not actively live the ethically framework that god showed in the bible to a T. IMO, im agonist if. Good and bad things are derived and distinguished predominantly by harm. I don’t really care about what other people do unless you encroach on my life or harm me in any way (Theft, assault, murder etc). I treat other humans this way as I don’t want to be hypocritical and therefore invalidate the entire personal framework I’ve constructed. Does this mean nothing bad happens to those who have been evil in their lives afterwards? Yes, but they don’t get the pleasure of exsistence anymore. Does it mean you are not rewarded for you good dead’s in some afterlife? Yes but the prize should be that you made life more bearable for the rest of us parasites on this bare oppressive rock we call the earth. Do people have to agree with me entirely? Nope, don’t want to, nor do I like it particularly. I personally believe that not encroaching on anyone’s belief is fantastic as I don’t care enough about others to police their lives nor do I believe I am competent, capable or emotionally/intellectually mature enough to do so. But hey maybe there is some fella up beyond this world preparing to smite me

David Blaine specifically explains often enough, that what he is doing is nothing supernatural whatsoever. And that everything he does, he intently practices full time. And that anyone can do anything he does. He says he was inspired by his mother who taught him, if he works hard enough, he can accomplish anything. And so anyone else can too. I don't see how Teller is not simply jealous or trying to discredit the most popular magician of this generation. Chris Angel is the one who acts like what he does is supernatural.

Kevin, am rewatching this again and will pass it on by WhatsApp to Milton's old friend from the Comedy Club, Noel Faulkner- a top bloke. I like this especially for his remarks on his faith. A comic of faith is an anomaly on the comedy circuit with the honourable exceptions of Frank Skinner and Tim Vine. In America they have Pete Holmes (atheists are the "nothing people": brilliant) and Brad Stine❤

She’s fortunate she didn’t have to watch the tv viewing world listen to ass-hats like John Belushi rattle on and on about “women just not being funny”. While greats like Gilda Radner , Jane Curtin and Madeline Kahn would just about acquiesce at the same time that they took less than 50% of the pay AND help make him look funnier than he actually was. The 70s were the worst.
