This song is so special to me. I remember swimming on the shores of Lake Michigan in Door County Wisconsin and hearing this song every so often. Nicolet Bay at Peninsula State Park will always be that "One Particular Harbor" to me

I never got it with John Lee? It was like he was making up lyrics as he went. I always found it boring...

She can play...but that ain't blues soul. That's a mechanical reproduction of blues music. None of these artists (and they are artists) have any of the blue JLH has. Nobody needs to be told what the blues are. You know it when you hear it. Blue is as much of a feeling as it is a happening.

That was the time when artist was real and time was cosmic. Would you spend your wealth to go back to that era. Thanks goodness the 80s existed.

Back then not only was music well written and magical, but the bands needed no help to reproduce it live. No auto tune, no backup recordings, no lip syncing. Sometimes indistinguishable from the LP, sometimes superior. Ambrosia’s flame was all too brief.
