pls hear me out.... these shoes will set u back like 2 grades... i had them too... they are really crappy. i know it hurts to say but your toes have to be crimped.. with those shoes your toes will bend (not crimp) and you will slip like beeing on ice lol... dude they suck so bad hahahaha

Thanks for making this, it was really useful for a beginner! I'm going to go for half a size down from my shoe size and break it in.

How long did they last before the rubber wore out? My sole rubber lasted 2 months (I go to the gym 3 times a week). They had a small defect in the detached sole and the brand replaced them with a new pair.

people can tell you all kinds of things, but they dont have to wear your shoes :) generally your climbingshoes will indeed be smaller than your everyday shoes. But unless you are a pro climber, there is no need to go so tight that your feet hurt and your toes curl up. SO its a matter of finding a good balance between tightness and comfort, which means youll just have to try them on to see what works for you. Especially cause it varies wildly between brands, materials, shape and lacing methods

I downsized almost 2 sizes on my tarantulas. Im a beginner, and it didnt take long for the shoe to feel comfortable while climbing. After five sessions i feel no pain

it depends on your technique and what you need from the shoes. I personally buy them half a size bigger, cause i don't want my feet to be screaming in pain after each training.

These shoes are very comfortable but limiting. I was climbing on them until around v4, but they start to struggle with the tiny footholds around v4+ / v5 (for me). If you value comfort don't size down. If you value performance, size down, but keep in mind you'll still have to upgrade to a less comfortable shoe eventually. My opinion is it's better to have a beginner shoe that is comfortable, but limiting, since you are likely to eventually upgrade anyways- and then you have a comfortable training shoe to wear on long sessions or climbs.

How did the fit change comparing to when they were new? You mentioned that your normal shoes size is 43 and you got these in 42.5

good question! its only half a size difference, but the shoes are SNUG! the first week they were so snug that i had to open the shoes up a few times to get through a bouldersession, but now that they are worn in thats not. the case anymore. Dont know if thats the shoes getting "loose" or my feet getting used to them. Overall they are still very snug in the toe-box, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. After coming from my daily shoes and putting these on, it takes a fewmin to settle in, but after that quite comfortable and still good support.
