Crohn's & Colitis Foundation

Crohn's & Colitis Foundation

Featuring videos from the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improving the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.

Since our founding nearly five decades ago, the Foundation has remained at the forefront of research in Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, collectively known as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). Today, we fund cutting-edge studies at major medical institutions, nurture investigators at the early stages of their careers, and finance underdeveloped areas of research.

I'm so heartened to hear about real progress in understanding IBD disease pathways and developing new treatments. Dr. Slusher makes it easy to understand her research, drug development needs, and the three-pronged support from the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. Many thanks for filming and posting this.

I've had Crohn's since 2013 and Osteopenia since 2018. I have 2 fistulas. I possibly need surgery to fix them, but I can't get the surgery until I get health insurance or come up with the money for surgery.

Do not avoid red meat, or meat in general. Avoid vegies Simply put, have you ever seen a piece of steak, chicken, ground beef in your stool ? No What about vegies, corn, peas, carrots? Yes Meat gets liquified more easly in stomach acid, making it easier for your gut to digest Less stress = less inflammation

Thank you for this wealth of information. Did Dr. Poylin take Dr. Stryker's patients when he retired? Dr. Stryker was a fabulous surgeon, I have very high regards and respect for him, he was my surgeon 30 years ago in Chicago.

Same I came here hoping to find something new. The only thing I've looked at that's new is microbiome. Though I think it's available in the US.. They put new specially adapted microbiome into the bowel to help generate a healthier gut microbiome. I'm going to see if I can find trials in the UK. Yes trials are just that. They could make you better and they could make you sicker or cause more complications. Though I'd have to see what the trial is about and if I'm a suitable candidate and most importantly if I believe it would work. As I don't want any more complications with my health. We have all been through enough with this horrific disease

it's a bunch of crap... THEY our medical system doesn't try to see WHAT affects each individual.. they are NOT trying to fix it, or heal it.. NO studies/research test tosee what each individual is allergic to,, to see what antibodies each person has,, who has had what vaccines,, my daughters had hpv it all happened after they had that vaccine,,
