For anyone doing this. You must reduce air pressure in the old struts in order to have space for removal. The stabilizer rod, the bolt they suggest to remove, is really not easy to remove. Easier to lower pressure or puncture the old strut for removal. For installation, there is a big chance the new strut is totally or partially inflated and too long for easy installation. There are ways to lower the pressure of not installed struts, it involves a small 9v battery. Once taken this all in account, the process is really easy. Good luck and save a mountain of money!! 🎉😊

Hello, great video! I followed your step by step video however I am stuck at putting the new airstrut back in, it won't go in easy as it came out. Did you use some type of tool or pry bar to move something up top like the control arm connections? It's hard for me to line the top of the strut with the three mounting screws into the holes of the car. It seems like the control are bracket is preventing me from getting a new strut all the way up in there? I hope they sent me the right strut, it definitely looks the same as the old strut side by side. I ordered new airstrut off eBay. So if you have time please respond I need to know did you pry something to fit the new airstrut back into place?

I have a question I can't find much answers to. C219 2006 cls500 airmatic. I keep seeing things about the factory air bag having an additional reservoir that the Arnott shock doesn't for ease of install. Something about dropping the subframe? Do you have to do this when removing a stock air bag? Everyone says you have to do this for install but I can't understand why you have to do it for install and not removal? Doesn't make sense to me. Anyone who's replaced the stock bags, do you have to drop the subframe to remove them?

I love the step-by-step instructional video that you put up it means a lot to a lot of people don't know the technical terms or even how to go about it I myself have been a mechanic full of a 45 years and I applaud you on showing people step-by-step what needs to be done in a way that basically a five-year-old could understand LOL but that's a compliment keep up the good work bravo

I don't understand why you are removing the shock absorber from the top, you could just unscrew the lower tie rod on the wheel and remove the airbag easily, so I renewed it that way, your repair process was too much.

You don’t need to remove the clip to the connector just push it in and pull the connector out or in
