    I have the air fryer model, yesterday I spent and hour with 4 or 5 SOS pads to get some really bad grease at the back, worked quite well, didn’t get every bit off but it is certainly a lot better

    The fan is nice, BUT the app sucks and Hunter customer service is slow and terrible. I've finally got it to work with alexa, but now the original remote no longer works. My other smat fans, not by Hunter, were easy to setup and the original remotes still work. Never buying another Hunter fan again.

    Yes, as the video shows I had set up issues too. But it all works finally for me and my remote also works. But the wall switch is still my frustration. I'm sorry your remote doesn't work. Id suggest their customer support, but you and I both know better. lol.

    You are so lucky that you can cut down oak trees we live in California in the San Diego area. We are not allowed to cut oak trees. Unfortunately we have about 25 on our property. I hate them. They make a mess. We did have them all thinned out very expensive, but at least we don’t have as many leaves falling anymore.

  • @LenBanks

    We had to get a permit. In general one can't remove them here either. But it was a danger so the permit was granted. I was of course very sad. Being from CA cutting it down was 'painful'. LOL

    FYI, Eleuthera (E lou’ ther uh), pronounced by locals as E Lou’ tra, is one long, narrow island. Not a series of islands and Lookout Cay is not a cay, but the southern tip of the island. Lighthouse Point was a beautiful beach known by locals, which now has limited accessibility for residents. I hope the employment opportunities outweigh the inconveniences.

    Thank you for this video, my daughter is a full time wheelchair user who can’t walk or transfer. We are watching all videos to prepare, so far our plan is that we have the accessible family cabana and I think we will just head there and skip the other side of the island. I am worried about all the sun without many accessible places to escape the heat. It’s sad the kids will miss out on the shows and such but our plan is just to treat it as a beach day 😊

  • @LenBanks
    @LenBanksАй бұрын

    I'm glad our experience gave you some context on how to plan. And of course you know your daughter's ability better than I do. Just be mindful that all public areas with shows and activities are accessible on all the raised walkways and pathways. They are also all covered. Perhaps have an umbrella for shading when walking on those paths. Just something to consider. That said, the beach is the best part of the island, so enjoying a cabana and the beach are most people's dream vacation and nothing will be sacrificed.

    I air fry chicken thighs once a week & attempt a good wipedown as the fat splatters all over the inside. After several uses air frying chicken, a lot of rendered fat is draining out of the unit on the side the controls are on in front as well as draining from the right rear corner where the pivot henge to flip the unit up for storage. I assume the internal fan is drawing in the fat. Unfortunately, there does not appear to be a "fat collector" or a trap door behind the control panel. Anyone else have this problem?

  • @LenBanks

    I have not heard of this and don't do that much chicken frying like this, so have not experienced it either. I hope someone else will confirm this for you.

    Simple connect isn’t your problem and neither is your Wifi. Your problem is the apple home kit. Also, the lutron smart switch doesn’t require a hub. I use simpleconnect to do the initial setup and after that, I never use it again. After I bring the fan up using simple connect I tell google and Alexa to discover new devices and they automatically find them. I then tell google or Alexa to turn fan\light o\off and at what speed and brightness. Quite simple. Repeat “no hub required and simple connect isn’t used after setup”. . If you use a smart switch as you suggest, you can only turn on the power and will have to control the speed and brightness separately. PS: No problem joining the wires together and if I sell the house I’ll give the buyers instructions.

  • @LenBanks
    @LenBanksАй бұрын

    Thanks, for your comments. After the problem was solved by eventually reaching tech support, it does work fine with Apple Home. All is good now and as I have an Apple environment, that just is not an option. I do understand that the Lutron Caseta line of switches DOES require a hub. So I am not sure you are accurate there. But I am likely going to have to join the wires as you say and cover with a plate. Doesn’t seem other options are out there. Which is fine, but not ideal. I want the home to be sellable, but in reality, that is very unlikely. So I should just let that go as a concern.
