I am thinking either a 185 with a 150hp or a Alumacraft 175 with 115 Mercury Pro XS with 140hp Suzuki 140hp. I am considering 175 vs 185 because it burns less fuel. But the 185 would be better on Large bodies of water.

  • @movingngrooving2022
    @movingngrooving20229 ай бұрын

    185 is the way to go. 1-foot bigger means you will have comfort no matter what. As for burning fuel. go with Suzuki better than the other brands. I wanted to the 185 with the 140 Suzuki because that engine has a larger gearcase and allows for larger props. top end speed might only be 40. Any faster your burning more fuel anyways. a lighter 140 hp is going to make the boat sit level. My boat for sale with its HONDA 150 is the best boat I have ever owned. Mine is new and ready. The fuel consumption has been very impressive. When running at 3 to 4ooo rpms I can go 3 to 4 weeks without having to fill up. My tank size is 34 gallon and when running those rpms, I run for 20 to 30 min at least 3 times a week. Most of the time I find myself at just on plane which is a lower speed and rpm and find I can go 6 weeks without filling up. Very happy with this engine.

I compares the transfer cases on this same machine with a 750 kingquad and those on the kingquad are twice as big! The new 700 2 up machines have made a new engine placement where the heat is now not a problem. More heat is directed behind the machine and not on the driver. The 700 from what I gather is a single cylinder machine. It is a great looking machine. They are aluminum, mounted with a rubber shim to make sure the clamp held tight. I found the original price sheet and it says 1.5-inch mount for the Rigid light bar. No brand was listed. Super high quality.
