    5:55 nice Tai-Otoshi As someone with a Judo background, this portrait why I find it challenging to implement Judo-style throws in Jiu-Jitsu because the throws often create spacn in between for the opponent to escape and scramble when they hit the ground.

    Thanks for the comment bro, it's worth noting that the opponent is a free fight so these guys are somewhat difficult to keep on the ground these days and I've been practicing new tricks that make control easier. I'm going to make a video with some of these tricks

    For Gi compétition Judo. But learning is very slow, demanding , you have to be no more than 25 yrs old. Everybody can pretend playing bjj. But not judo ,it is an other sphere.

    Terrible ref. No Advantage for “Almost Passing Guard” when clearly passing, even the Half-Guard. Can’t score N/S Mount for 4 points, etc.; why even “ref” if someone else is calling the shots? Nice Judo skills, too.

    How did the judo guy not score any points. He should have at least 1 point from what I can tell

  • @greasebob
    @greasebob2 ай бұрын

    Should have had some advantages at least, but the wrestler didnt stay down for more than a second after all the throws, so no points. IMO its bad rules. A clean throw or takedown should at least be a guaranteed advantage regardless of whether the guy scrambles back to his feet or not before 3 seconds.

    green belt for a lot of judo systems is like the first colored belt. Some are just a couple belts in, like a few months. It’s a low level belt for the judo orgs I’m familiar with. So white belt comp would be appropriate.

  • @EduardoMartinezBJJ-jf7uz

    If you had any knowledge of martial arts, you wouldn't comment on that. Obviously, a green belt in judo cannot go directly to a blue belt. They are similar martial arts but not the same.

  • @youmang

  • @gengotaku
    @gengotaku28 күн бұрын

    This is a fact that BJJ practitioners ignore, but in judo we practice both tachiwaza and newaza, but BJJ simply removed tachiwaza from their curriculum. There’s a BJJ black belt who always comes to our judo practice and gets destroyed during tachiwaza and has a difficult time doing newaza with us, because half of our practice is doing newaza.

    When I had no stripe on my bjj belt I also started judo and doing both at the same time gave me a head start after 4months I tapped a heavy weight purple belt with stripes idk how many I wasn’t paying attention to his belt that much but I rmr seeing lines maybe like 3 or 4 but I was able to be on top instead of bottom and when standing I would throw him enough to scare him into sitting down only think he was 230 and I’m 5’10 he was 6’1 I’m telling you guys judo and bjj at the same time is just different and tbh probably better then taking bjj and private bjj classes I honestly think instead of doing private classes just take up another grappling art and be more open minded on other things u can do with ur body
