Hi there, welcome to my youtube channel! 💚
On this channel I'm sharing my passion for growing houseplants and growing long, healthy hair. My plant and hair journey started around six years ago. On my journey, I've learned a lot about growing plants and hair. With this channel I would like to share my journey and experiences.

such nice hair but toooo long
You did right. Do whats healthy for you.
I really appreciate you sharing how you noticed things becoming a bit too much and listening. It may feel like sacrifice/loss at first but it's not really true.❤
Good for you!
Is there a way to buy these from you?
Hi! Well, don't know where you live? I've never shipped plant further then the Netherlands.
About a yr ago, I got so frustrated with plant care that I threw out ⅓ of my collection. At first it was hard, but since then I’ve been downsizing periodically. I’ll have to do the same in the fall as they’ve overgrown this summer & I have no room for them. Don’t feel too bad; hope you make some money so you can buy more when you feel like it.
Hi! Ooh, totally feel you! But love the way you go around it. That can grow so much over the growing season!
Why the thai?huhu so pretty and the obliqua. They’re all so pretty
I know.. the Oblique I will keep in my collection, but maybe not on a mosspole anymore, and the Thai is purely for space reasons and because it's a second Thai.
Do you make your own cover pots?
No, I buy them at our local greenhouse. However you could make a simular one yourself! 😃 only need a pot, glue gun and a rope of choice.
@@josejosephine thank you 👌🏻
Beautiful house plants.😊
@@fahfon Thank you 🤍
Do you speak Spanish by any chance? Your pronunciation in “Casa Botanica” was on point. Great order with great plants!
Nice plants!
Thanks! Yeah, they are pretty huh 😍
Great haul!
Thanks, they are pretty huh 😍
Hi, could you do a video on styling please? I live in NL and struggle to find housewares items, but I really love the wooden furniture you arrange your plants on, the mirror and pots :)
Hi! Oh, that's fun to hear you are also in the Netherlands 😄 Thank you! That could be an great idea for a future video. 😀 The big mirror I bought many years back at Jysk. The small round side tables are all from the Action I think. That wooden furniture in the big bedroom I bought a while back from Marktplaats. All my pots are from the Intratuin 😄 Allmost all of the remaining wooden furniture is made by my boyfriend. Hope this helps 😘
@@josejosephine Thanks for the information! Does he sell his furniture?
Your plant looks great, but please give us your Hair secrets!
Naaahw, hihi ☺️ Thanks. I'm thinking about making a video about it for KZread. However, I also have a IG where I share mostly about my hair journey. ☺️

It looks great Jose!
Thank you! 😀 Curious how this Adansonii will look six months down the line.
I'm surprised they can survive in such small pots.
Haha, me too! 😝 A lot of my plants are in rather small pots, they do seem to do well. I feel like some plants also prefer to be a bit root bound, but maybe they will grow even better in a bigger pot though 😛
Good idea. I’m going to try the same by getting it to grow into the moss pole. Did you root it first, or just tie a cutting to the pole and then let it root?
Defenitly try it! 😃 Yes, I took cuttings from the motherplant. Once those were properly rooted I put them on a mosspole.
@@josejosephine thank you for your response. Keep up with the great videos. 👌🏻👍🏻
@@anwarallieThank you, I appreciate your kind words❤
It's ok to overwhelm. It's a part of process that you're a very good plant mama that your plants thriving in your care . Make a space for other things in life is important . 🫶
Just gorgeous.❤❤❤
I also recently felt incredibly overwhelmed by my collection. I wanted more freedom in my life to focus on other things, without plants just taking over, so I purged like maybe 75%-80% of my collection. It was hard at first but I got myself to let go of any plants that I considered "getitng rid of" at any point, plants that looked "too similar" (i.e. just choose one florida type, just choose one long leaf philodendron, etc), plants that were struggling and i didn't feel like it was doing well with me. Tried to make sure any I keep truly truly sparked joy and is realistic for my space, instead of hanging on to them cause I've had them for so long.
That means you are allergic to it. Get hypoallergenic. It's better
Welke groeilamp is dat op 25:34?
www.amazon.nl/gp/aw/d/B08GY439MF?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title Dit zijn ze! 😀 Heel erg tevreden over!
Did you make those pots? If so, would you be willing to make a video on how you make them?
Nicely done Jose! Would love another plant chores vid please!
Thank you! Happy to hear to you would like to see some more planty chores ❤
cool
Thank you ☺️
30:19 it's easier if u make it into 2 words Skeez-muh Low-Glo-teez 🤗
I remember it cause it sounds like "Excuse moi, you're poor bish" 😅
Hahahah, thanks for this tip! 😂 Will see if this helps, hihi.
Your Melanochrysum is simply stunning! ^^
Thank you! ❤ I already bought it with rather big leaves, I do hear people saying this one can be very hard to size up from being juvenile.
I also have a plant, philodendron Dean MC Dowell that has a twin leaf with only one stem, I thought it was so interesting and weird how it is growing like that, they looked like a Siamese twin with two heads, one body, and li really like your woven pots, they look great
Oh that's fun to hear, those leaves from the Dean MC Dowell can get huge! Are your siamese twin leaves also big? Thank you!❤
Love your Tordum!
Thank you! ❤ It has grown a lot over the last two years.
Sorry you’re a bit overwhelmed with plants at the moment. If you need to downsize but you love all your plants, you could take a few cuttings from some plants to propagate & sell the plant. They’ll be big again when you’re feeling better; we love plants, but they’re not worth your health & wellbeing. Thanks for sharing you beautiful collection with us Jose! Yes to repot vid.
Hi! Thanks for the tip. That could indeed be an idea.. I absolutely agree with you that our plants should not become a struggle for our well-being. Thanks for your kind words! ❤ I appreciate it.
I’m finding the Alocasias at the stores recently are having this problem of a fungus or edema Both my silver dragon and dragon scale are also struggling. The other Alocasias that are older haven’t had this problem
Oh, that's interesting to hear! What are you struggling with some of your alocasias? I have also had mine for at least two years now.
@@josejosephine my 2 yr old Alocasia don’t have that problem but the silver dragon and dragon scale bought several months ago struggle with both edema and a fungus that I’ve sprayed them with sulfur.
Your plants are so beautiful! I need to try moss poles! Your plants love theirs! Great growing
Thank you! ❤ I would say, definitely try it! They have a lot of pro's, but also some cons I find.
Try Garden Safe Organic houseplant spray, systemic pellits for bugs you add to your Soil Last But NOT Least use fans to cirulate the air........at least 6 hours a day.been growing over 40 years an i have on had 3 plans ever with a problem... not kidding air movement is A Must !! Luv luv plants 😊😊😊😊😊❤
🌱💚
Wow it looks so great! 🤩 I finished building a terrarium from my Akerbar this week as well. I don’t have a moss backwall like you do though, but still very happy with it 😁 Too bad we can’t add any pictures 😅
Thank you! 😃 oh, that is a coincidence! Did you also use spray foam? It would be a nice feature to be able to put pictures in the comments.
@@josejosephine no I didn’t use the foam, I did kit the gaps and made it waterproof. I made some layers on the bottom with soil and large chunks of bark to make it more interesting. The moss back (like you have) felt to intimidating for me 😅 Very pretty though!
You could share your instagram id if you have one. I'd love to see your build!
i buy all my plants as seedlings. for me the joy comes from watching them grow in my care...i very rarely buy an established plant....
the small amount of browning on the leaf edges of the black velvet may be humidity issues or inconsistent watering issue. the plant looks very healthy so i would not worry too much...
❤❤❤❤❤ New subbie!😊
I love how u display your collection, love how the pots match! As for the Philo Splendid, I would suggest u air layer the plant first before chopping it. If u chop that plant it will have a hard time sistaining all those big leaves without a root system 😉
Thank you! ❤ The Splendid is good rooted in the mosspole, hope those roots are enough to sustain the plant. A while ago I also chopped the Melanochrysum and Adansonii along the vine, and was scared that it maybe wouldn't take it well, but they are doing remarkably well.
Sounds great!!! I forgot about roots in the pole hahahaha! 💚
The Deliciosa isn't growing becuse it's not getting enough light. Monsteras in general LOVE a high amount of light. Mine gets direct morning sun and lives like an inch away from a south facing window. Grows like a w33d.
I know, but I do want it to live there 😛 must say, now we have entered spring the Deliciousa gets a bit of direct afternoon soon, I do expect some growth this spring and summer. But just like you mention, it would defenitly grow better in higher light. I'm curious how yours is looking! Does it also has secondary fenestrations? 😃
Your plants are beautiful! I know you mentioned a few being sun bleached, but mine sometimes look like that when they’re nutrient deficient. Thanks for sharing Jose!
Thank you! ❤️ Oh, that's interesting.. Do you also know in wich nutrient your plants are defecient in then? I do feed most of my plants with every feeding, will look on the bottle if I can see the percentage of nutrients and will look in to it! Thanks for the tip! Know I'm also thinking, if it could also maybe be fertilizer burn? 🤔
@@josejosephine Yes, you’re right! I had the same thing happen to a lot of my aroids because I was mixing 2 containers of nutrient & accidentally put the solution for the 5 gal in 1 gal bottle; a few plants suffered, but my 6’ Dubia leaves (all) turned light green then yellow within 36 hours…lost that plant.
Those Are some nice plants!
Thank you! ❤
Nice Alocasia collection!
Thank you! ❤
Beautiful plant 🥰😍👍👍
Thank you ❤
@@josejosephine 😊😊
such a cool collection! i also love the sound of the rain in the background it’s so calming❤
Thank you!❤ Hehe love that you mention that, it is such a mood.
Your plants are huge! I love alocasia and colocasia, they’re so exotic looking. Your collection is beautiful and impressive.
Thank you, I appreciate it! ❤ oh calocasia, is the care and growth pattern very similar to alocasias?
I really enjoyed this video. All of your alocasia are beautiful!
Thank you! I appreciate it you leaving a comment ❤
You’re very welcome 🥰
