Hi, Is there a filter (not the text typing one) that allows you to search for campsites that allow fires/wood bbq/solid fuel fires. Does it also include National Parks and State Forests. It looks like a great app. I'm just making sure it has the things I 100% need.
I never write reviews but am so incensed by the garbage Jacksons Retreat Alpine Holiday Park Otira Highway South Island sells at top $ I just had to... After a day's riding all you ask is for a nice, clean place to lay your head so you can wake refreshed and ready for the following ride. A crappy, sloping tent site for $48 is bad enough, more than any other far superior sites on the South Island but ... wait for it ... Four grown men booked a pre erected tent fully expecting a 4 man tent preferably in the style of the canvas tents available. Just look at the photo to see what they provided - if it wasn't serious it would be hilarious! (actually it is quite funny because I didnt sleep there 🙂 ) A $120 warehouse tent stuffed in the corner of a hay shed on the dirt!!! The boys didnt even use it and ended up sleeping on their mattresses in the dust.
There's sacred womens birthing places that have been destroyed by sites like this!
Another site destroying good camping spots by telling everyone.😢

Great app, planner needs work. Its fiddly and slow to add points. Should be able to just hold your finger down to add a new route point.
try avoid public holidays, the suburbs empty out and relocate to camps like this - you don't really get to experience the quiet of nature.
Are these spots pet friendly?
Is there a Mac desktop version that l can purchase, then log in and sync and use for easy trip editing?

As an Australian Naturist of many years , I can tell you that MOST of these people are not nudists but are exhibitionists, Nudisim in Australia has gone to the dogs, you cant go anywhere without being harased mainly by gay men, you can no longer go to retreats, beaches anywhere! . The perverts are everywhere,. If you think you are ok to go to a retreat, then beware, you may get sexually harassed and then when you complain you are told to leave, It's a big con, Naturists - STAY AT HOME

Don't go to rapid bay manumn or mt.crawford forest that's where weirdos go to stalk on campers(have had too many incidents to mention) and people that rarely camp will harass you for food and wood ect.

Hi. I have recently paid for the app and then discovered there is a desktop version also. To download it though, I have to purchase it again. Or do I? Is there a way to download it and log in with my account details?
Sorry to say, but you will need to purchase the app again for your Windows10 laptop/PC as you'll be adding an operating platform. One purchase per platform allows you to install on all of your devices on that same platform only (e.g. iPhone & iPad / Android Phone & Tablet). This is because each app store, on each platform, is run by a different company (Google, Apple and Microsoft) and it's not possible to transfer or share app purchases between the (retailer) stores. Unlike web-based subscription services (such as Netflix / Spotify) the WikiCamps app is developed individually for each platform so can't be 'transferred' across operating systems. Platform specific integrations such as the mapping (Windows10 & TomTom / Apple & Apple Maps / Android & Google Maps) make it impossible to transfer. Once downloaded on your Windows10 laptop (from the Microsoft Store in the Start Menu on your desktop) you'll be able to login with your WikiCamps User Account details to access/sync any previously saved trips and favourites.

Yanchep was nice but only communal fireplace, would be nice to have own firepit. Baden Powell is awesome!
A video with photos is not a video, it is a slide show. Photos in a video are only allowed when it is impossible eo get a good clip, allowed in the early days of video, seventies.....
