I have a 2016 mk1 facelift and its just hit 186k miles and still on its original clutch, I love it and would have another one if I could afford it. 😂

Good family car or for older folks who drive with their hats on all the time and slide the back seats forward to fit in bags of compost purchased from the garden centre on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Great review. Like all VWs it's a smart and understated thing. I don't think I'd pay quite that much for one, but it will probably be a decent companion. Like you, the minor issues (fogging of light bar, rear camera) smack of poor quality control, something that seems endemic to recent models.
Still? Was this EVER king? Please enough with the sensationalism, the car looks absolutely hideous. In R line trim diesel will set you back 70k. Good luck.

Used to have the old Tiguan which I liked. Appears that they've ruined it.
My neighbour just got one, her new motability car, that's kinda all I see the Tiguan as its built for that type of market.
Tim Rodie Drives Stuff : HAHAHAHA the new 2024 VW Tiguan is a PLAGIAT of Suzuki S-cross released back in 2022. Just look at them both from the rear.
Saw one in person for the first time this week. I didn't immediately recognize it as a Tiguan, it seemed smaller and more anonymous. The previous one was distinctively a Tiguan.
As a Mk2 R line owner I will not be changing to the new Tiguan. It is over priced and so boringly bland. The styling is generic looking like many other vehicles. And I’m certainly not paying £500 car tax with a value of £40k plus.
Previous model looks soooo much better, this is just another boring jelly mould of a car 👎🏻

Weird that the Android Auto Play is not wireless. My wife has a pre-facelift non-Sportline version from 2021 and it does have wireless Android.

With Android Auto you can use actual youtube or watch any online tv for much better waiting time
I've just bought a e-2008 1st edition, Registered Jan 2004 (on a 73 plate) ex demo with 1k miles on the clock for £23.5k. It's crazy to think that Peugeot are selling the exact same car for 42k! I genuinely feel sorry for anyone that's bought one at that price.

Lovely but who thinks bmw will survive selling EV cars over 100k GBP when every spec is better at half the price from the tidal wave about to hit the UK from China. They are done for like all the other ICE car stealers. Good luck with selling this to 0.5% of car buyers

Usually VWs are pretty stable compared to BMW, Audi and Mercedes who loos a huge amound of value in the first 5 years ... but this new Model i have the feeling will loose a lot of Value ! No one will pay 40k-50k for a used Passat if ts costs new 60k 😂... 50%loss minimun they wont ho for more than 30k on the used market

Hi Tim, Im looking into getting this car but I've noticed some issues that I wanted to check with you. Has there been issues with the AdBlue tank, and Electric parking brake failure? Im getting one with the facelift like yours but I've seen the cars pre-facelift had a lot of issues, never mind the camshaft/belt issues

They’ve got this car so so wrong in my opinion - looks ok from the front, but from the side and rear it looks like a Vauxhall Astra estate
