    I felt blessed with Covid. I felt like I was about to have a nervous breakdown praying for relief. Suddenly I was sent home to work due to having a high risk child. I was able to reduce a ton of work and commute stress, save money. I used the time saved to spend more time being a mom, built a huge garden which has enabled me to learn to provide fresh healthy vegetables and herbs, canning, drying etc. I’m not exactly happy about going back to in office working. But it had made me realize I like working from home and can be a better mom.

    This was helpful. I will be ordering that adrenal test after the first and I'm pretty sure I will need the dessicated adrenal or whatever that was. I'm having a gout flare-up. Haven't eaten beef in months, had 2 servings and I'm paying the price. Essential oils to the rescue and water.

    We usually just dump it out every few weeks and rinse it out with the hose. You can get fancy and put in a UV machine with a little pump that they use for aquariums, which usually works as well. But I’m just looking for the easy route right this moment through the winter time.

    Adding a vast variety (in larger amounts!) of all sorts of herbs and spices (only organic or home grown in healthy soil) to every single meal is extremely important, for a host of reasons, not just immunity. Among us herb folk there is a saying that one should eat at least 25 different types of plants at each meal. Yes, each meal. This is easy to achieve. Every spice, every herb added to a vegetable based meal counts. If I look at my home made herb and spice blends I see many that consist of 12 to 15 herbs/spices per formulation. Of course those formulas are not willy nilly thrown together. Each has a purpose. Add to that at least 5 or 6 servings of fruit each day (especially citrus and berries, but really, anything is great), and one should have a fine baseline for good health. Please don't forget the omega 3s (beware, most are useless and rancid). Spend several hours of the day outside, in motion (gentle movement, steady movement, extremism is not the answer). Qi Gong outside, Tai Chi outside, YES! Hikes in the woods, in the mountains, YES. Leave screens behind.

    Like you said, this template is a good start for normally developed humans that have a sincere desire to grow mentally/emotionally and make relationships better. People need to understand that no such method will ever work if it involves a narcissist or otherwise abusive person. In that case, get out and run!

  • @cyfi513
    @cyfi513 Жыл бұрын

    Absolutely. Abuse of this nature is not ok. This template is to be used with two people who are trying to heal and connect in a relatively healthy way. This is a good format to really see and understand and have empathy for one another and avoid getting stuck in the weeds.

    A note on the breath of fire (Kapalabhati): Unfortunately in the western world (and what goes for yoga here, which most of it is NOT) pranayama has reached a kind of hype, and is thought of as healing, etc. However, if one follows the true yoga traditions (Ashtanga, for instance) it is clear that pranayama is only taught after many years of practice. There are very good reasons for that. As in the west the vast majority of people are NOT trained in the original forms of yoga (the western yoga is gymnastics on a mat, nothing more - and no ashtanga teacher was ever trained outside of India, let alone in a few months of 'training' anywhere) pranayama exercises can become counterproductive, even dangerous for certain people under certain circumstances. For instance, if one is primarily of the pitta dosha, the last thing that person wants to do is breath of fire. For vatas it can also be tricky (I won't go deep into the why here). Certain medical conditions absolutely forbid this technique to be performed. I feel I have to mention these things as people pick up bits and pieces here and there and then apply them not being aware of their original meaning and power. Just because something is effective and powerful does NOT mean it is appropriate for everyone, or at all times. And finally: Women on their cycle should go by different 'rules' altogether. 🙂
