  What an insane miniseries, never seen anything so powerful on small screen and I watch a LOT of TV. So dense and emotive bravo to everyone involved including these two unknown Italian singers.

Something like 10 years ago, I saw your video and fall in love with NAVAII, Al Qantarah's version is one if not the best version I know (taking my own personal tastes into account of course...).   In 1945, the Barcelona Municipal Orchestra, directed by Eduard Toldrà, performed in my city, Vilanova i la Geltrú. Maestro Toldrà, unjustly forgotten, received a warm tribute from his fellow citizens. One of the works performed was the Concerto Grosso no. 8 of Corelli. Listening to this piece, I try to guess what those spectators who had to live in the gray and sad society of the first Francoism and the post-war period felt, when they heard notes full of purity and sentiment. In that concert, he would also conduct what would later become the OBC, in Beethoven's Seventh, Richard Strauss' Don Juan and other works. Music connects us through time.
