It's hard to express how much I loved this video. I've watched lots of canoe trip videos over the years, but this one is by far my favorite. I wasn't bored for a minute. I am 82 years old and, alas, no longer able to do big trips. But this film put me vicariously back in the canoe and into the rapids, the thinking, the reading of the water, the use of judgement in relation to risk, the awe, and the occasional whoops-and-hollers The spontaneous comments and bantering were out of the moment, real, personal, and warm. Thankfully the music was kept to a minimum, and the little that was used was tastefully fitted to the setting, not like the brash country riffs one so often hears that have nothing to do with paddling in such awesome landscapes. The sounds of water, fire, bugs, rain, wind and the paddle-in-water made it real. I loved having different views of the same rapid and seeing the lines that were chosen. There were plenty of exciting moments and smiles, yet the mood of whole film is sensitive and delicate. The otter clan at the end was a fitting closure. This is a work of art. Thank you Tosh and Jason.
