    what is the cause of having a negative temperature reading on a heated heat cartridge when monitored with pico logger

  • @SaeligCoInc
    @SaeligCoInc14 күн бұрын

    Usually when there is a problem with the temperature readings on a TC-08 it is due to one of the following reasons: 1) You are using it on a Laptop with the power supply connected, thus causing a ground loop issue. If this is the case then try disconnecting it form the line/mains and leave it floating. 2) The thermocouple has a voltage injected into it which exceeds the common mode rejection ratio of the TC-08, ensure that the thermocouple is getting a voltage to it.

    nice features a 5 in one device. AWG, TDO, FDO, DMM and PSU all hooked together and can be controled trough a script interface and app system for different decoders. thats revolutionary but..... its 2024.. and this thing could have been done in 2010 according to the specs. only 8 bit ADC, now that 12bit are even available on the budget scopes. only 800x600 screen at 8 inches with no hdmi / vga output only 5000 counts multimeter no ext-trigger input on the 4 ch versions, you just waste a channel for that. sync for the awg output? or at least a trigger option for awg-sync internally no option for a wifi dongle? Powersupply output is from the bnc on CH1 and CH2 ??? couldnt you fit just another banana jack next to the dmm. and why is it so hard to just put in a 50cents wifi & bt module when it supports keyboard and networking. it runs on linux / android it seems, any common chipset should be natively supported. def. not something im gonna buy for (over here incl tax) 1750 bucks

    somebody mentions it slightly about p-p volts 325v . that's can't be right even though its accurate for the scale reading and attenuation of the probe half the cycle would be 56.5 volts where the 325v p-p reading happening, seems to affect the new scopes something to do with input impedance and voltage divider noticed that on my scope and found v/100x2 brings the value pretty close

    can one take for granted that all these features that you video after video showing on the DG992 also are avaiable from scratch on the DG812 and its only the values that differs between series but menu wise & features here, are also the same on the DG812 and its not some toned down OS?? you certaoinly give the impression that its the same between DG800 and DG900 series.?

    From what I understand at a glance is that Saelig makes the Pico? I have the Saelig logic analyzer, and the pico kept reminding me of the logic analyzer. Now I know why!

    At 2:32:00, when using the breakover torque wrench, Agilent shows you are not supposed to actually force the wrench to breakover. From EM, "Calibrated in the direction indicated by the arrow on the handle with the fingers gripping near the end of the wrench (between the last ridge and the bottom) until initial breaking of the wrench head (not to full 90°)." Videos overall are excellent.

    Watching you screw in those standards at 39:00 was cringe worthy. Hold the standard steady and rotate the cables SMA nut. This way you are not rotating the center pins inside one another which can easily damage some of the metrology grade parts. It will cause undo wear at best case. So far, really like the training. You did a nice job with it. Thanks

    "There is no manual for PicoScope 7 and it isn't something we are currently planning to produce." this is a comment from Pico Technology. I bought Picoscop 22204A thinking that it would come with instructions, but it looks like it doesn't even exist. Instructions for PicoScop 6 are numerous on YT, but PicoScop 7 has a completely different look. I am very disappointed.

    KK Systems replies: We don't have anything currently which has this option. But most modern CPUs/MCUs which have UARTs, they actually have USARTs. And one disables the external clock feature and switches them to a UART mode where the RX data is recovered by 8x or 16x oversampling. Basically nobody uses sync data+clock outside of highly narrow applications. Can you tell us more about what this is for? What sort of volume? Or is this a USB-serial converter enquiry? A quick google found this fastcomproducts.com/products/sync-com-422485/ but at a price! If this is a volume inquiry, a redesigned KDE485 could also do USB (VCP on the PC) to sync, if we add an option for a clock signal to come out.

    Do any of these devices support USART? i.e. can transmit/receive SYNChronously from an external 1Mhz clock? Everything I've been able to find (ex. Yacer HDLC-USB, fastcom Sync Com 422/485) can do UART but not USART!

    The joysticks are killing this scope for me. I can't for the life of me understand why they didn't keep the knobs etc from the (now discontinued, for the 4 channel versions) STO 1104C/E series. The joysticks are like the Thinkpad 'knob', and I absolutely hate every millisecond of using that interface ("hold and release" is what I can't stand). My current DSO is a huge old Gold with several minutes of boot-up time and a thermal printer for screenshots.. my 100MHz analog Tektronix is extremely nice but has just two channels. That Micsig looks just like the thing - four channels, ok bandwidth, very nice touch screen UI, more robust than the previous series, takes very little space (exactly what I need now). But: Those joysticks are the reason I'm *not* buying this scope. Can't stand them. EditAdd: Strange that the rise time measurement should depend on how you set the resolution of the scope. That's presumably something they can fix with a firmware update. There seems to be various small bugs here and there anyway (ref. the serial decoding section) which need to be fixed. This video demonstrated a lot of stuff not covered by other reviewers (serial etc, and mouse interface!), so it makes a nice complement to those other reviews.

    The joystick is a convenience to some folks. You can navigate without it ...
