Excuse me good sir, been trying to get into bmx for years, i have a beautiful setup now, im wondering if the bar width will have much to do with bunny hops alone? I know it would be a nightmare to do any kind of bar tricks but since i cant even hop yet properly im using my wide ones, though i do have a spare pair of shoter bars, would it make any difference at all if i was to change them? I quite like the look of it and feel of it with the wide bars but i cant see it going well when i go try doing tricks in a park woth them on 😅

So in my opinion, it all kinda depends on your body. For instance, some people bench press super wide because their leverage is better that way, while some people might do it a little closer. So it kinda depends on your muscles. For me, I think I’m stronger when my arms aren’t as wide

I really thought carving to start was essential. I started riding again and all the kids at the park ask me if I can 180, its like the kickflip of bmx.

Respect 👍 but there’s also a lot of benefits in the side or less ordinary maintenance (no gas, no oil changes, no transmission, low possibility of brake jobs, etc) so it’s a give and take type thing
