Viking is way over priced . They don’t include drinks (except Meals) or gratuities. In addition, I learned the entire ship does the same excursions. The ships holds almost 1,000 passengers. For less than a Viking cruise I can cruise on a 565 passenger Seaborn, Silversea, or other small ship ultra luxury cruise.

Your comments are mostly factually incorrect. But why would I care if you prefer to cruise with other lines? I don't understand the mentality of being a negative nancy.

@@kennethzeringue2727 no so! Read the facts! Ships capacity 960 vs 596 -alcohol only included at meals -all tours are the same divided into small groups -gratuities are NOT inclusive -Price is 40% higher than Seaborn & Silversea

Stanley, thanks! It was really nice meeting you. I saw your stable-cam setup on one of our excursions, and it sparked me to ask if you also made videos. I think your KZread page shows you'd be good at it. I'd like to see your version of the Lands of Antiquity cruise!

Thank you for posting so I didn't have to endure that cruise. I'm sticking with the Caribbean.

Our mistake was scheduling for May. A trip in July or August would not have faced this problem. Iceland was wonderful, and well worth visiting.

Taking this cruise next August, hoping we have better weather 🤣 Good to hear Viking compensated you for the missed ports but still disappointing for you!

I’m taking it next August too! See you there. 😁👍

Thanks for the kind comments. This trip has 10 countries, 16 ports of call, and plenty of World Heritage sites. Don't miss Petra, Jordan; Elephanta Island, India; and Bhuta Cave in Malaysia. Fabulous! The stops in Egypt are good but there are 4 hour bus rides each way, so those are tiring days. Ken Zeringue

Enjoyed your slideshow very much. We are trying to decide if we want to take this particular voyage.

Thank you Cheryll, If do decide to take this cruise I think you'll love it. However beware there are several excursions which require a long bus ride. Port Said to Cairo is 4 hours each way. Salafa to Luxor is also 4 hours each way. The Sanai trip to St Catherines is about the same, on very rough roads. All of these sites are worth the visit. My favorite of the whole trip was the Petra site in Jordan. You need to be physically fit to walk this site, but paid rides via donkey cart are available. Elephanta Island archeological site at the Mumbai stop is a must see, as is Buta Cavern in Malaysia. In Singapore, take a half day excursion (or none) to leave time for shopping. Koh Samui is a good place to go to the Beach.
