round 2!
Awesome job-!!! 💪💪💯
Thanks you! Really you watching ultra stuff 💪🏾
Tough luck with the weather! Great job nonetheless, I did my first 70.3 in Muskoka last year and your videos are giving me the itch to start training again, maybe Mont Tremblant next year🤔
@@Davies-Acres my first 70.3 Muskoka was in 2022. Mont-Tremblant is easier 🤫 and waaaaaaayyyyyy better in organization and scenery is fantastic 👊🏼
@@antonzaychuk2432 well I might just have to give that a shot then!
Hell yeah it’s a beautiful course we would highly recommend it! Happy to hear we have motivated you! Keep us updated 💪🏾🙏🏾
drone footage was crazzzzy! just did 70.3 Muskoka on Saturday - gotta love the Canadian events.
Miguel!!! Thanks for noticing man!
Good to see you man on the run course! One tip which I tried over there and works fantastic - 0.5l water bottle filled with some soap/shampoo and hot water. Pour in ea leg and arm sleeve (hold the bottom and shake them release). Worked amazing. It even helping you to pull it off after the water. Plus you smell fresh lol 😂
Great seeing out there too man! You shout me out gave me a nice moral boost! I was having a rough run so that was awesome to see you crushing it! That's a good idea as well haha always nice to feel fresh!
Great summary! I rewatched your Muskoka videos ahead of my first 70.3 this past weekend. Cheers!
Thank you! How did Muskoka go for you?
@@Barhighendurance was awesome! 1st 70.3. 39th overall. 11th in age group. Tried Erin’s suggestion for walking the fuelling stations which probably kept me in it a little longer. :) keep up the content guys!
Fucking epic congratulations Brent. Sounds like a great day out there and solid result for your first half! The walk run method is so clutch ! Will do man thanks for your support 💪🏾
good shit guys!
Thanks buddy!
use me as "I'm here for Erin" button .... Sorry Spence ;)
lol all good
I have the non-carbon version of those poles and really love them. Even though they are not carbon they are really light. I did a 30k with 1000m of elevation which kicked my arse in 2022, but this year the major climbs were hard, but I was able to run right off the top. I credit the addition of poles to help me on the climbs.
Really excited to use them in a race!
Nice. I’m doing the 50k at first blaze. See you guys there next weekend!
Amazing come say hi! See you there
Well done my bro! Great info on the trekking poles! I used mine for the very time on a 100k Ultra about 8 wks ago with about 10k vert and I won’t ever race without them! Tremendous load reduction on the legs for sure! I joined you club on Strava about a few weeks back.. Congrats again on your recent 100k.! You definitely learn more from the challenging races than you do from an easy one! 💪💪💯
Holy 10k very! Yeah great call on using trekking poles. Oh yeah that’s why I sign up for them. I need the mental challenge. It’s crazy how much your mind unlocks when you keep pushing your limits.
Big ups, way to conquer the darkness and persevere!
Thanks Kyle!
Congratulations Erin, it was nice seeing you and Spencer at Tremblant registration yesterday. Good luck to you both at Tremblant tomorrow!
Thank you! You too! How did your race go?
Relatively well considering I started with tired legs, 4:36 total time but the run was slower than desired and the lack of glycogen meant I couldn’t properly show my fitness. But overall a fun day of racing (you crushed it, nice run - well done!)
Great day for you nicely done! I had a horrible run everything fell apart for me again same thing as Finland so I’m sure I’ll be able to redeem myself in Ohio. I won’t be taking green tea extract anymore as a caffeine boost..
I use melatonin, glycine and ashwaganda after a nightsift. I've noticed that I get a better quolity sleep using those after a nightsift. Also I've given up on forcing it. Basicly if I do not sleep, I wont workout or if my sleep is not good I.ll just take it easier.
Always smart to do something and just dial it down a bit! Rough world out there with these evil night shifts! Keep pushing through 💪🏾
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your support ❤️❤️ We are going to put that towards our fundraiser
Congrats Erin!! This is awesome, love your analysis of it And Spencer, loving the dramatic filming of the boat 😂
We miss you Taylor! Haha thank you that was alot of fun. I got a new drone so it’s time to spruce things up a little bit
amazing job!!!! why do the mont tremblant 70.3 and not the huntsville 70.3?
Hey Alex, we have done 70.3 Muskoka twice already and we got fogged out last year in Mont Tremblant.
I've been dabbling in cycling but I only have a bmx bike so 10k feels like 50😂 Congrats🙌
Yeah that bike wil make you put in some serious work
Well done Erin-! Way to get after it like a BOSS-!! Well done video as well guys!
Thank you so much!
🎉. What were the temps that morning?
Surprisingly not that cold!! Water was warmer than the air (22 degrees). And once you got your hr up on the bike it wasn’t bad! Thanks for watching! ☺️
Big kudos Erin! Great video guys! Made me want to look into this race. Will you guys be hitting up 70.3 Muskoka again?
The best multisport Canada race in my opinion. Fantastic road for biking and nice scenery! Very similar feel to Muskoka 70.3. Unfortunately we won’t be in Muskoka because we’re going to Ohio 70.3.
Great job Erin. I’ve been watching you guys for a few years now (still waiting to meet you both) what a great W. congrats. And Spencer. Good purchase on the drone. Those drone clips enhance the videos biiiiiiig time. Well done guys. I’m suspecting you’ll be in tremblant next weekend. I’ll be looking for ya.
Thank you!! I know Spencer really appreciates the drone compliment ;) and yes we will be in tremblant, see you there!
Stop waisting your time on social media and use that time to sleep and train....
Fact!!!!!!!!
What you are doing is EXTREMELY ambitious. Night shift is not really sustainable long term, IMO. Hope you are getting double time or something, but that isn't EMS.
I agree, I don’t think night shift is suitable for high performance. I’m working on getting straight days but right now just doing what I can 😊 I did want to try and show that it is still possible to stay fit while working nights. Instead of completely giving up on fitness altogether due to the difficult lifestyle. Thanks for watching!
This was really honest and telling because most people don’t put out there how difficult it is with work stress. I have an intense job that completely drains me, where I have to get up at 4am or even 3:30am to workout! Today I was off but drained, I call it “work hangover “ but I rode ZWIFT 1hr 1/2, then strength training. Not quality but quantity today!
Awesome job! I definitely feel you. It can be hard, but when you look back on all the mornings you trained, I doubt you will regret any of them 💪🏼 thanks for watching!
What an honest video! I hope that you are feeling back to 100% soon
Definitely feeling much better thank you Emily! Also really appreciate you watching my video 🙏🏾
How many hours average do you tend to get of sleep. 💤. And how many hours of training do you do each week buddy 👍👍👍. I work nights and it can be a struggle to get the sleep 🛌 hours in.
Hey! On my days off I always get 8.5 hours or more. Going into nights I try and take a 2 hour nap prior and then after nights I struggle and usually only get 3-4 hours (if I could I would get much more). My tip would be sleep when you can and for as long as you can and naps are key! I have been averaging about 12 hours of training a week, but I’ve worked my way up to that after many years:)
@@Barhighendurance Awesome info ℹ️. Nice 😊 one 1️⃣ dude 👍
Well done! 👍👍
I teared up a bit seeing you all cross the finish line together! Congratulations!
Right there with you Emily definitely surreal moment getting to complete that race as a team
F#%k Yeah dude!! Loving the content!!
Thanks so much Alexi! Really appreciate you supporting my dude
Great video Spence! Showed the true spectrum of emotions you go through during an ultra event! Big shoutout to whoever provided you that spoon to crush those noodles 😂
Thanks Dalton for letting me use your spoon!! 🥄 saved me many! Happy you enjoyed the adventure!
He tried Haliburton like 13 times before he successfully completed it. There’s an article about it somewhere. What grit!, what tenacity- legend!
What no way I didn’t know that! Talk about grit!
Man that was cool to watch
Wait till you see the vlog!
Legend!
Legend🏆amazing achievement brother. What a inspiration! See you guys soon at 70.3 MT👊
Anton! Thanks so much my dude! See you soon man couple weeks!
Way to push thru and get the finish!! A+ on the 100k finish and A+ for the video production quality!! 💪💪💯
Eyyyy thanks alot dude! Happy you enjoyed it. That was hard to edit haha there was so much more I wanted to leave in. I really appreciate the feedback 🙏🏾
Been waiting on this one my bro!! Bout to settle in and check it out! 💪💪💯
Yes!!! Awesome vid!!!
Glad you are enjoying it!
How did the race go my brother? I saw that Ian posted up on Strava 👍
I want to give you all the deets but I’ll let the vlog do all the talking haha I got it done though 14:38 or something it was a day!
@@Barhighendurance Awesome job!! Fast time as well my brother!! I will be on the lookout for the video!! Congrats! 💪💪💯
Thanks so much! I just ordered some trail poles! Spoke to a few people about Halliburton 100miler that it is NO JOKE. 40km loops can take you up to 6-7 hours lol! I’m in for some serious training moving forward. Any content you’d like to see out of that?
@@Barhighendurance Nice! I used trekking poles for the first time on my 100k and will always use them going forward for sure! Your videos are always good! I have a few people that I follow on Strava from Canada and you all know how to get after it-!!
@@Barhighendurance That is awesome! You definitely should post up showing ur training and prep leading up that one!! Sounds like a doozy of a race!
Awesome! You got this!! 💪💪💯
I’m ready dude! The taper is killing me having to cut things back but I know it will pay off on race day.
@@Barhighendurance I know right! I felt weird on taper week as well! It definitely worked though! Your in-race plan sounds solid! I made sure to get around 100 grams of carbs in per hour and included about 1/2 of a LMNT packet per hour and never got tired. I used Tailwind at 20oz per hour and gels. Trickled in some protein on the back end.. Have fun with it my brother- u got this!
Okay solid we are pretty bang on for nutrition. Tailwind has been a hot topic lately I might have to check them out. Thats smart I forgot to mention I would be eating some Daryl bars which are protein bars. You’re gonna have start vlogging your races man!?
@@Barhighendurance You got this! You do an excellent job of strategizing how to prep and fuel for ultra races- definitely keep posting up content my brother! I will check out the Daryl bars for sure! I see that you also trickle in the Maple Syrup-! I saw Lionel Sanders and you using the maple-S and tried it- it works! LFG-! 👊👊💯
Nice! Just joined your Strava group. 💪💪💯
Welcome aboard!
@@Barhighendurance My Strava name is Greg Williams. I just took a look at your group and you guys are getting after it up there! Your videos influenced me to run my first 100k a couple of weeks ago! Got more races scheduled this year! Thanks for the content! 💪💪💯
Amazing! Which 100k did you sign up for!? Hear that makes us super happy! We just want to lead by example and unlock everyone’s potential to attempt what they might of thought not possible at one point. You should be super proud of yourself 💪🏾
@@Barhighendurance It was the Falling Waters 100k in West Virginia. I ran it 3 weeks ago. Doing a 100 miler in August. Thanks again for the motivation!
So dope
Thanks Dre!
Dude awesome job and well done!!! 👏 great video. I felt like I was there. Amazing effort 👌
Thank you so much for watching and I’m happy you enjoy it! More to come ❤️❤️
Well done Spence! Great video. Looks like this man Mirko is ready for a 50k💪
Yeah this guy has 3 on the bucket list this summer haha
Nice job! 🎉 I'm considering signing up for the full this year
Well done! LFG-!
Lfg!!! Thanks for watching
Downhill is just as exhausting, very unfamiliar to most
Yeah big time! Found it to be quite a performance enhancer for most of my races and training lately
Martin rd. Always gets me!
It’s spicy!
Best Vlog yet. Looking forward to the next one.
Glad you enjoyed it
