    It almost seems like Saber made the 5-slot semi's a bit more bendy and flexible too... Or maybe its just with this cargo being so very heavy and top weighted.

    The 114SD has excellent weight/suspension properties, like a WWS with higher ride height, and still quite stable. That and the quick steering makes it excellent for running timed contests (one of the best trucks for the Flatland NC contest) and I feel it's far less likely to stall out than the Paystar. It's a shame that the Transtar and CLT special engines aren't in anything else. Would be shocked if the Fleetstar could do this, it's 1/3rd less heavy, much narrower and smaller, and a lot less suspension flex. Even more impressive that the 114SD had the 4-ton minicrane too. The challenging region is a refreshing change, some of the mud pits are brutal. I think the new scout suffers from too small tires and bonks it's chin taking a lot of engine damage. It's good, but that keeps it below the Khan Sentinel for me.

  • @NProvince

    Ya it’s a very slow pull with max effort from the engine the whole time. In hardmode you just add fuel down there. This truck is usaully very efficient, but this type of stress is just alot for it. Also these quarries are the hardest the game has to offer and they boast the heaviest most top heavy cargo currently in the game as well

    @@NProvince Yeah, variety is nice. I hadn't used JATs much, so it's been fun to try those out. At first I wasn't that interested in trying them, but on trucks I have a lot of time with it seems like a difference I can actually feel. This surprised me, because looking at the raw numbers I was skeptical at first. They don't feel like pay to win either, more situationally useful like you demonstrate in your video. Ever since I stopped going with a raised suspension on every truck I’ve noticed my rollovers have decreased significantly. You will take more damage with stock suspension but I don’t have that much trouble with ground clearance. What matters most? Not taking damage or not flipping over? Easy answer: not flipping over. For quarries I generally have a highway truck with a long trailer + crane waiting at the top on the road and I ferry the cargo one at a time in the bed of a truck that is very stable and capable offroad.

    When you’re in low gear you are rpm locked like you can’t red line… if you switch to auto you will hear the engine rev more and you will often break wheel lockups. After tires start rolling again switch back to low or high if desired.

  • @NProvince
    @NProvince4 күн бұрын

    While you are hearing audible sounds, that’s actually not how the code/power distribution is set in SR. I’ve made videos showing the charts on the power throughput. The game doesn’t behave in the ways we think that would make sense. You can go check those videos out which talk about low gear increasing torque throughput and other videos in the “other helpful SnowRunner videos” playlist. I’ve thoroughly tested this and also cross referenced findings with that of what has been data mined by folks that follow the game closely

  • @ceeofdeez

    @@NProvince I am literally playing the game right now non-stop. Low gear is ass because it is rev locked. Use auto to break wheel locks especially useful on low power to weight vehicles.

    Watching you climb up quarry with the slate blocks makes me think there are pros and cons to the blue narrow semi trailer and the wide high saddle trailers. The narrow ones tip easier but can get around the narrow parts of the path while the wide trailers bring more stability but you can't get through the narrow parts as easy. 🤔 it's a fun but tough challenge though.

  • @NProvince
    @NProvince4 күн бұрын

    Ya the wider trailers woulda been interesting. I just reattempted the mission with the 114SD and it passed with flying colors. I should post that video. I think trucks like the fleetstar are just gonna struggle like crazy due to their own balance being compromised

    Ok so since I began playing snowrunner during the manmade COVID days I took up the Tayga as my super hero truck it's a scout with so much more attitude and toughness. To this day I still use the Tayga small like it's My right hand henchman lol and so I heard all the rants about the voron family, and how the AE & D version are similar or as good as the Tayga? I shook my head and left that alone never once buying a voron cause I had that covered as a OR super truck. So yesterday I bought one while finishing some of BC maps and ran a Voron D like I run my Taygas and my face was 😳 I don't get impressed so quickly with trucks as I utilize my trucks for there abilities and environment playstyles. The Voron family isn't impressive looking and the color scheme are very blah but the proof is in the drive I'm a believer 💪 this truck doesn't sideline my lil Tayga with the iconic tires, graphic winning tiger portrait and style but I learned the Voron D tramples things and has a great collision body frame that is exciting. No I'm not a fan of HR still and never will be I am a snowrunner as is fan I utilize the special or advanced special gear boxes like Merlin the magician 👍 I literally have had less than 5 flat tires in my snowrunner career. Thanks for listening I love this game it's what a kid growing up loving trucks and the sounds they make needed in his life 💪👍 long life Snowrunner!!

    do the torque and weight values have any effect on gameplay?

  • @NProvince
    @NProvince6 күн бұрын

    For scouts, since they can’t really haul much I would say it matters a little less because they just don’t weigh a lot. Now weight on the other hand is very important because weight=increased grip, but decreased power to weight. However scouts never really have issues with power to weight. Scouts that are heavier show to handle trailers better. Lighter scouts just don’t handle them as well due to the trailer weighing more or as much than the scout itself. I hope that kinda makes sense. Torque values matter, but they matter more to hauling class trucks that can put cargo on their frames or saddles more
