Hey man the quickest easiest way to do looting is in the new loot menue just click tab after you hit F to open the loot menue
Thank you! Yeah I wish I had realized it during the time I got on board. Since then I've been using that menu and OH MAN it would've been nice to be able to easily and quickly equip that armor lol

Howdy, honestly I'd just go with the default weapon loadout for 3.23 - they changed the way gimbals work so I'd basically just use the m-series cannons they have on by default or if you wanted faster weapon projectiles I'd go with omniskies

When you started out of the cockpit and I realized you were only in a flight suit I thought “I wonder what his plan is here”? 😂
Hahaha this was only like my 3rd attempt to land on the Idris, I honestly didn't expect I'd actually succeed. After this, I tried at least like 10+ more times (kitted out) and haven't even gotten close lol. The ship and its wingmen just obliterate me on approach, and the window where the hangar door is open seems to be quite small.

Haha yeah the game is actually pretty good outside of events with my setup, but this event brought the fps down a bit and definitely had huge lag spikes for various things. The servers just couldn't cope
Use the icon on the right bottom half to switch views while looting, and then just swap armour
Thanks! I don't do a lot of FPS and I thought there was a way to loot armor directly to my person but I couldn't figure it out, plus obviously i was excited and not thinking straight

I prefer to think of it as 11/10 plot armor
Drop your own undersuit and armor off into local or ground. Then drag the npcs undersuit onto you it will equip everything as is on you. Great fun, to watch, thanks!!! o7
don't even need to drop. when in loot mode - use Tab and then double-click the shit out of everything
Thanks! I did this towards and the end of the video but it ended up being my undoing. When dropping my undersuit off I forgot I was dropping my ammo, and that started the chain of events leading to me getting taken out lol. Still great fun and I'm trying hard to get back on board another Idris!
Yeah this is what I should've done. I couldn't figure out how to get into the armor-looting mode. Given that they made looting take up the whole damn screen you think they could've made a text-based button to make it idiot proof, but I guess I'm just too advanced of an idiot.

Thanks, I tried for many hours after this to re-board an idris, now that I know a bit more of where I'm going and I'll be a bit calmer in my FPS looting and shooting, but no luck so far.

oh yeah they were basically stationary for half the time, but I'm thankful for it in this case b/c otherwise I would've died before even getting out of my ship. Not sure how you're supposed to survive slowly climbing down the ladder out of your cockpit while in the middle of a freaking hangar full of enemies lol. You think your player would have a "yeet yourself the F out of the ship and into cover" option for exiting the ship for these kind of scenarios :D

What's so much better about the lag Pip than the normal one? I don't even know what the normal one is called
Normal one is called lead pip. For lag pip, you're focusing on putting a lagging indicator of the predicted impact point on top of your target, so you're focusing your eyes on your target itself so you can see when it's moving around and turning and whatnot. With lead pip, you're looking "in front" of your target to lead your shots, oftentimes at some random spot in space away from the enemy itself, so you're slower to react to things like them rotating around and getting ready to move in a different direction.
I got a comment I'm wondering where my money went when they stole my account because they couldn't answer my questions about what they were doing when it came to squat reported to and the game as itself but I guess three thousand dollars it's not much money and my account doesn't mean anything
if you were doing any exploits or breaking any rules they probably banned you, there was a wave of over 600 accounts banned for doing that kind of stuff. I think I heard somewhere that it was a 3 month ban though, so the account isn't lost, but I can totally understand that it'd leave a really crappy taste in your mouth.

how does the defender perform in 3.23, and would it be better or worse than a san'tokyai? was thinking about CCUing from a defender to a san'tokyai
They're both about the same I'd say. The STY has a better capacitor and a lot more missiles which helps it put out more dps but the defender is a smaller target and feels a bit more stable when partially damaged. If I had multiple ships I'd probably go for the STY but if I didn't I'd probably go for the defender since it also has an interior and a bed, whereas the STY is just a seat in the cockpit and nothing more.
what loadout would you recommend for the Hornet Ghost PVP? I slapped a some of Omnisky 9s and ripped off the stealth cap and nose for Omni 3s? But it felt really bad? Any advice would be appreciated.
I don't really pvp too much but I'd probably go for bulldog/badger/panther/etc repeaters instead of omniskys. Omniskys have slower projectile speed than the cf-series repeaters so it'll be easier to land your shots with the faster weapon projectile speeds

I'm 2 weeks newbie. Which ship do you recommend for second? Ship which newbie can afford and finish HRT bounties stably?
most ships can do HRTs without too much trouble, but a medium or heavy fighter like a hornet or vanguard will be able to do HRTs without much trouble. Something like a constellation or a corsair will make it easy-mode

Distortion weapons been nerfed? Is it bad idea to using 1 distortion repeater in cutlass loadout?
Yeah I wouldn't bother with distortion right now, you'd just be giving up a weapon slot for something that has very minimal utility. better to just put a laser weapon there instead

Missiles have become incredibly inconsistent in 3.23 so the retaliator is nowhere near as good as it used to be, but you can still hit and one-shot VHRT targets with it. When I went out trying I was hitting probably just over half of my torps, and they were still 1-shotting all enemies except the 890Jump (but that's an ERT target)

Will probably have to do an update to this video, this now apparently gimbals have no reason not to be used. Basically heard Size 5 Gimbals can use Size 5 weapons. So there's no point in trade offs it seems. hope I'm wrong
you're right, but gimbals are also pretty much useless now lol. You don't get auto-gimbal anymore as a pilot, so you can just sort of aim your guns slightly off center while piloting in the precision targeting mode if you change your gimbal modes. I haven't found a use for it yet, so even though you have gimbals they're basically just for show.

New player here was wondering if this info is still valid in the current patch? Pve bounty hunting is the most fun way I’ve been making money just using the mustang alpha takes a while to kill things though
A lot of this is still valid, in fact I'd say the majority of it is. Ship combat has changed a lot in 3.23 with master modes but the systems behind bounty hunting and ranking up haven't. Mk II Hornets are now replacing the Mk I Hornets. After Invictus the Mk I cannot be bought by pledge or in game. The Mk II will get variants soon according to CIG.
yeah I'm really bummed about their decision to do that. And I'm afraid that the mk1 hornets are going to become outdated due to them not generating anymore sales for CIG (I know CIG says they're committed to keeping them updated but just look at how badly outdated the Sabre Raven got until they made the Firebird variant that they could make money off of)
If you only were allowed to choose one ship to solo bounty hunt this patch, what would it be? I'm almost at enough moneys to buy a ship in game and I usually go for the Vanguard Sentinel but since I cannot play as much as Id like I kinda want to use my credits efficiently.
Sorry for the delayed response to your question, but I'd go for either a Corsair or a Constellation. You want something with a lot of big guns b/c DPS is king now in the current patch since they made running away harder to do.

You need to buy a prospector in this patch. They are almost indestructible!!! NPC's at least.

quick note: you CAN actually see how much shield is in the buffer in the usage bar! on the shield MFD, if the usage bar is at 50% then you have 50% shields in buffer, self explanatory

Yeah that's because they're named plasma guns in name only. They're basically just laser weapons with similar stats to the other laser weapons (cannons and repeaters, based on whether the vanduul gun is shooting quickly or not). I didn't put them in this video b/c I was trying to help people choose how to loadout their ship and those vanduul guns can't be swapped around. But in case you didn't already know, erkul.games has all the information you could want to see about any of the weapons.

Idk if you can say its a ballistic nerf, more like shields working properly, but full ballistics is a lot harder because shields are actually blocking the damage they are suppose to ( i think it was suppose to block 90% damage from ballistics and as shields go down more damage from them). So now its more useful to do a mix of them as if you use the lasers to take out shields then ballistic the hull they drop like flys
thats backwards, right now even with full shields 70% of the ballistic damage just goes right through the shields, but then the hull itself is blocking between 50-60% of THAT damage. Ballistic damage used to be really high to help account for the limited ammo but now that they've given us a lot more ammo, they've also lowered the ballistic damage to be much more inline with laser weapons AND they made them generate heat and be heat-limited. I definitely would say ballistics have been nerfed in 3.23 compared to before.
