Top baller and deserves his recognition in his career, but does he get to the champions League final?
@@fridaynightcounterattack I’m not too sure about that, Real always seem to find a way. Even when they were arguably “weaker” than previous years; they still managed to be champions of Europe for three consecutive years.

Football Meta's breakdown of Thiago Motta's tactics with his UEFA Pro License Thesis linked in the description (kzread.info/dash/bejne/aHl7ypetiraxaZc.htmlfeature=shared) Purist Football's breakdowns with video footage (kzread.info/dash/bejne/l5mFutiHirm-oZs.htmlfeature=shared) (kzread.info/dash/bejne/f22trKqQqcfbYrw.htmlfeature=shared) I agree with The Athletic's Seria A correspondent Horncastle's assessment, on The Athletic Podcast (kzread.info/dash/bejne/nHaBksaIkrOwj7g.htmlfeature=shared), of Thiago Motta as a highly suitable candidate to succeed Xavi as the Barcelona Manager at the end of the season. As a Barça fan, he's clearly the best candidate because he simultaneously offers something different & familiar at once. Barça's board wants a change from the coaching profile they usually hire. Hence why they want a German coach, having ruled out De Zerbi due to his buyout clause. Motta, like Alonso, is a fellow serial winner, offers many philosophies & influences that he draws from that's vividly clear in the way his team plays. The best parts of not just both the Positional (Bielsa) & Gegenpressing (Löw) worlds but the Relational (Gasparini) & Transitional (Mourinho/ Conte) ones too. All tied together in a blue & claret bow underpinned by the Total Footballing philosophy education he received at Barcelona. Where he began his journey in Europe at the age of 17 & spent 8 years in both the B team (2 years) & 1st team (6 years) from 99-07. So it is safe to say that Thiago Motta has Barça DNA... that has been genetically engineered by his wide array of experiences he draws from. Ironically a similar story almost identically applies to his namesake Thiago Alcantara. Whom, I'm sure Motta would love as a player in his Barça team. It'd be such a full circle moment & welcomed homecoming for both Thiago Motta & Alcantara to come back to where it all began! *MANAGER:* THIAGO MOTTA *4-2-3-1:* SQUAD AVG AGE (23.8) ST LEWANDOWKSI 9 LWF CAM RWF LUIS DÍAZ PEDRI RAPHINHA 7 8 11 CDM CM ZUBI GAVI 14 6 LWB RWB GRIMALDO CANCELO 20 2 LCB RCB PAU TORRES ARAUJO 15 4 SWK TER STEGEN 1 *SUBS/RES:* 13. Left a like for the effort. Very ambitious of you to add players we haven’t even had strong links to and and depart some of our best players. Thiago Motta’s tactics should fit really well with our current squad anyways (except maybe Cancelo as he’s not much of a defensive fullback): Felix in the false 9/Zirkzee role, Frenkie in a more free DM (like Freuler’s), Christensen or Cubarsi as liberos, etc.
@@lyonkennedy4892 Cheers! I agree about Cancelo but I think playing him at RB next to Araujo can mitigate his shortcomings. As well as signing Grimaldo, with Baldé understudying. This will keep Cancelo at RB instead of Xavi feeling he has no choice but to play Cancelo out of position at LB. Felix as a F9/ Zirkzee role or a 10/ Ferguson role 😚👌🏾 is also where I see Xavi getting the best out of Felix. Seeing as we agree on that. With Felix central, a LW with not only individual brilliance but industry, such as Luis Diaz, is needed to stretch the opposition & free up spaces for Felix to exploit. While also easing Felix's defensive responsibilites. Similar to how L'pool's front 3 of Mane, Firmino & Salah operated ahead of Coutinho in an AMF role. Diaz not only fits the bill perfectly but is also the cheapest option out of LWs the club's been linked to, however strong they might be i.e. Leao & Kvara. I'm also aware of links to Olmo but he's more similar to Felix than any of the aforementioned LWs. Even though Olmo's cheaper at 50m & can play LW, he's an AMF & not a LW. So answer me this though, *would the team I've outlined be better than our current squad?* If so, then *who would you be willing to sell to make it happen?* Those are the questions you & the board have to ask yourselves as that's the situation the club finds itself in. Sorry, not sorry for the bible verse reply. I can't help myself sometimes
For one, transfers like Pau Torres and Grimaldo are unlikely, not a fan of selling Kounde as he’s been our best defender this season. Roberto and Iñigo we should keep for experience as those types of players are necessary in a top team. There should be some easy decisions in terms of who to depart with(Lenglet, Garcia, Dest, Romeu, not renewing Alonso, and some others I may be forgetting). De Jong is a tough choice but could be sacrificed for an actual DM but could be paired with Gavi to help him a bit defensively. Personally advocated for Barca to keep Nico Gonzalez and utilize him as a DM(a free and brilliant option at the time) but they sold him and bought Romeu instead. Always been screaming for Balde to be used as a defensive fullback, rather than that pseudo left winger, forming a back 3 in build up with Cancelo inverting from RB and playing more “natural” wingers on both sides, Ferran and Raphina, whose off the ball movement would complement false 9 Felix quite perfectly. Unfortunately, I don’t think Xavi knows Felix is more of a false 9 than a LW. Playing Felix as a false 9 would be a better option of easing Lewa out of the squad (if he isn’t leaving this summer, which I kinda hope he does) as he’s has more experience than the likes of Roque and Guiu. This would also mitigate the issue of Felix not tracking back to help his LB as he’s always been more of a frontline presser as a SS, AMF or false 9 rather than a hard working winger like Raphina or Ferran. Alternatively, both Kounde and Balde could be played as defensive fullbacks for extra defensive solidity and to give De Jong more freedom as a DM (similar to Feuler) There’s probably more I had to say that I may have forgotten at the moment or I feel too lazy to type but here’s my bible verse response. Not trying to make another one 😅
Why isn't Lamine starting from Liverpool fan who has soft spot for Barce and love Yamal
Just trying to protect him. He’s got a long career ahead of him, it’s not worth it putting so much pressure on him at the moment even if it looks like he can handle it
