I use cardboard and construction paper with a two inch layer of compost on top and a thick layer of mulch on top of that. The cardboard/ paper breaks down quicker and it blocks grass and weeds from growing. You will still have a few weeds, but nothing like you get from other methods. It also adds to the soil once it breaks down. You have to make sure that the ground is not exposed to the sun so it blocks the sun and the roots of the weeds and grass won’t grow.
That’s a great idea too - thanks for sharing!👍
Weeding=my least favorite too!
Leo got the dad jokes. 😁👌🏻
Still working on it 😜
Leooooooo! Killer Aktion! Du bist einfach der beste! Beneidenswert!
Grüße in die Heimat 👍
I’m so jealous of your garden because mine is too massive 😂 I have 30 large raised beds and it’s a bit much for one person to handle alone. Starting small and learning as you go is the best way to go! (It all started because I was doing research for my book haha 😆)
Thanks for sharing! I’m sure we all need to learn to adjust to our capabilities each year… if it starts to be overwhelming we need to step back a bit and gain some momentum again 😅 … we used to have a way bigger garden plot, but this year is different… keep on gardening 👍💪🏼
WAAAAA!! I’ve never heard Leo make that noise before! 😂😂
Do you mean 21:19? 😂 … the dirt couldn’t hold me 😅
Das wird es wohl sein 😂
yeah, it was really funny 😂 … Leo you did a very good Job 👌 I like your content
😍 Nice
Better luck next time! Maybe your hen just isn't broody enough.
Probably 🫤
How much does that cost you
It’s noticeable cheaper then buying bags. There will be a difference depending on location.
Imagine having to do all that work with a hand saw and an axe. No wonder people of the past were all so skinny.
No kidding 😰
it looks like you guys are having fun with this project. I like your videos and look forward to more good videos from you.😊
Yes, it was indeed fun! Thanks for your interest!!!
Excellent video. Looking to rear near rabbits so this is helpful. And for your incredibly fantastic neckwear, it's a follow. ✊🏻🇵🇸
Glad it was helpful! 👍

@@NoRiskNoFarm where do you come from ?
Hello.I've just subscribed. Im from the UK england.i will look forward to your content. Thank you .
Awesome! Thank you! Welcome aboard 👍😎
Richtig 😂😂
If you start at sun up, saw dust should be flying long before sunset..
Thanks for the encouragement! I’ll try my best 😬👍
That one worked okay but you need to compare it with a non-kenetic splitter.
For now it was just a test run… will see how it actually works if we split for couple hours/days 😉… for comparison I have some experience with an hydraulic splitter which runs off of the tractors hydraulic… will see how it goes…
Hi
Good job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Very nice with that method you could make some really nice crab traps as well or anything really like custom bird cages
Great ideas 👍😊 - that’s definitely possible!!!
U will trap more coyotes than u can shoot. I do both i am a nuisance control trapper. No season here. They are a nuisance. U get coyotes around your house long. Your dog will come up missing. A pack of coyotes will kill a dog. Sometimes eat it. If its a bad winter. Why do u wear orange coyote hunting? Hunting in the south. U couldn't get anyone to go. If u come out wearing hunters orange. How can it be to open. Look in the badlands wide open places. Coyotes will come across it. U have to play the wind. U will have coyotes come in. That u may never see. We camo everything. My gun is even camo. I use a foxpro shockwave caller.
Yeah here in canada the laws are different then down south in the states. We can only hunt during the times when coyotes are least active anyway😂its not very smart. If you want to shoot coyotes its best in the dark or complete camo. But we have some silly laws here
Thanks for sharing guys 👍
Down here in North Carolina there is no closed season for coyotes also you can hunt them at night with or without lights
Wow… that’s completely different… thanks for sharing Bobby !!! Greetings to NC 👍👋
@@NoRiskNoFarm coyotes eat fifty percent of all fawn deer born here and then catch grown deer sometimes ,,we dug a den out and found 22 dog collars and 9 cat flea collars in that one den ,,they eat peoples pets here very often.
@@bobbygreen2291 … That’s Crazy 🙈
@@NoRiskNoFarm NC has two million deer
Thanks a lot for this very detailed instruction. I was hoping for a video like this 😊
👍 happy to hear that you found it valuable… 😊
Thanks for sharing. I'm in BC and am thinking of getting a few rabbits for my family.
That’s a great idea… very rewarding!!!
+1 sub
Thanks for your support and your interest!
How did you find her? Nala?
It was an online add … was about 3 hours away from us… couldn’t find any Kangals closer, glad we could get her at a young age…
Nice setup
Thanks! Not 100% perfect, but we’re working on it 😂
these cows look so happy ☺️
They are indeed 👍 … the young cattle are jumping around and enjoying their lives!!! Cows are happy - so are we…
that is very nice content you can learn a lot about the different challenges of farming
👍 and there is always more to learn … never gets boring 😉
Can u get rich from rasing rabbits
On a way bigger scale it is possible to make a sustainable living... We do it mainly because we enjoy the process raising them and because meat rabbits are part of our own diet...
Depending on the country you live in you can get rich
The size of ur rabbits ar high breeds ❤
Yes Sir 👍😊
Hey Leo, a pencil will do as well ;-)
You know, I guess I'm too lazy to sharpen the pencil ✏ 😅 ... this should be more convenient 👍
wow, that sucks hope your luck gets better
Yup … lesson learned … on the other fields I was a bit more patient 👍😂
So happy to see you and that god bless your work. Hallo from Germany
Hi Heinrich👋… thanks for your encouragement… greetings back to Germany 🇩🇪
you 2 are doing a great job 👍
Thanks! 😃
wonderful, amazing ! hope to see more videos!
More to come! Thanks for your interest 👍
😍
Thanks 😊
do you have to vaccinate the chickens or the rabbits against diseases because there together. or can you really have them in the same cage
Being in a multi-species setup is actually really beneficial for both animals, because the parasite pressure decreases when different manure/urine types mix together… parasites simply don’t have a perfect environment to thrive… to answer your question: No, we don’t have to vaccinate either the chickens nor the rabbits… in the very rare case when there is an infection or disease we treat with natural products like epsom salt, oil, etc… and keep the effected animal separate for couple days… we only treat the sick (if needed)
I have a question about the cages; could you get the dimensions of it? I really like the idea of the sheets being sloped.
Very Good Question… cages are 36x30x18 inches… I added some more details in the video description! Thanks for watching 👍
Your biggest fannn right hereeeee!!! 😁😁
Appreciate your interest and support 👍🎉 thanks 👋
Ohh yes, the coyotes can be dangerous. Nothing has happened to us so far thanks to the guard dogs, they are really doing their job well. We can hear the coyotes sometimes quite loudly
Thanks for sharing!!!
Good video👍😅
Thanks 😅 ... Still a bunch of coyots around ... Nala is busy - especially at night!
Hallo Leo liebe grüße aus badlippspringe 😉
Grüße zurück 👋 … Danke fürs Zuschauen 👍
Yummy! We like those eggs as well! Thank you!
