That’s a lot of work to keep the water flowing in your sluice. I would suggest you turn it into a rocker box, less water to dip up and more material processed and less work. You will catch almost all of the gold in the apron .

Nice video. Yeah man if your finding a lot of gold in your tailings. Either the sluice is not at the proper angle. Or your water is too fast. I assume you put some jet dry in there?

Yes jet dry, angle proper, water pump on low is alot of water I agree. Thank you

I am not a gold hunter, but IF I were, I'd always take out the fine gold first & run it on a miller table, then cleanup bigger then bigger gold pieces - with other appropriate machines ideal for the different screen sizes; to me, this makes the most sense.

Depends where you live i suppose, in Alberta Canada 🇨🇦, dredging, is absolutely outlawed so there is NO going for ANY material under the water 💦 as seen here. #2 the silt laden water off the end of the sluice is NOT allowed back into the flow of the river. I realize there are different rules in other places, but if law enforcement ever found us doing these 2 things, they could suspend your placer mining license.

I fortunately found a place below the original water line. Otherwise in California, it is not legal to dig at a riverbank. Dredging is not legal, yet. I have an idea for that. Need supporters. 🎉

This Sluice has no mechanical parts, nor is it dredging. Here in California, Only when Prospecting or mining ⛏️ can you legally dig with pick and shovel in the river. 🎉

@@HimalayanProspecting-qf7iu I hear you, I questioned flour gold wizards on his channel a bit, not sure what state but I think he is on the great lakes, they can move up to 2 cubic yards of material on one body of water 🌊 and then must move on. They are allowed up to 4 square feet of matt surface area in the sluice no more. So ya different rules. We don't have those here, but can work one spot for a maximum of 14 days and then supposed to move along. Cannot pump more than 11 liters of water 💦 per second, I can't shovel fast enough to keep up with that anyway. And it's shovel only, no fuel ⛽ powered stuff to move dirt.
