lol...yeah, my drone batteries probably need to be replaced. It can only fly and record for about 15-20 minutes before the batteries are drained. It certainly takes a bit longer to fill the bin in an average yield. I am sure my dad is trying to figure out who Al is... lol

Back in the early 2000’s I was on the harvest run and we used to cut around Harper and Norwich area…it was like a step back in time in some ways seeing all the older machines and trucks….i really enjoyed that area….great people!! But always muddy lol….it was like the harvest crews are here so let’s just rain 10 inches lol!

That old gleaner seems to do a good job cleaning . I always wanted a diesel F when I first started out, but in this part of north east Oklahoma there wasn’t any real support as far as parts go. In the 80s they were still commanding a pretty high price. Nice work and video!

  • @jimbaker7133

@@jimbaker7133 lol. I didn’t know that. A local farmer here had I think a f2 and a M2 in the eighties but traded them off for a 1660 iH. It was mostly international, Deere and a couple Masseys where I live back then. Most of farmers have since retired , passed or switched to cattle. I myself had an international combines, but I hung up grain farming in 2003 and switched to cattle and hay.

I was 13 when dad got his new Gleaner F. He said it's much easier to run the combine than to unload the truck, I didn't argue with him one bit. Ours didn't have A/C dad put a water cooler on top of the cab. It helped a little. For the folks that might wonder about the machine running while unloading the wheat, you did that so the thrashing cylinder stayed in balance. Sometimes if you stopped those older machines dirt and chaff would fall from the inside of the cylinder and then it would take some time for it to get rebalanced. Just give you a rough ride for a while.
