Hello, so did you transfer your points twice? From capital one to air France and then finally Aeromexico?
Very clear guidance. Thank you Mark! I will use Air Canada Aeroplan to book recently because there is 20% transfer bonus and the fees are way less than Virgin, another reason is we don’t have to call Virgin😂
Thanks for watching! If you find availability on United for Fare Class (I), then call Aeroplan to see if you can book with them. I've seen discussion online that this sometimes works with Aeroplan when you typically can't book online.
AMEX Membership Rewards transfer 1:1.6 to Aeromexico as opposed to 1:1 for Capital One points, definitely a better option if you have MR!
such an underrated reviewer
Very high praise, thank you 🥲❤️
How packed was the Polaris area. Was every seat sold out?
Yes, or folks got upgraded
@@__withMark gotcha
Frontier !!
😂
American's hub at CLT is the worst airport experince. It's human gridlock. Also, the Admiral's Club is too crowded.
+1 I was stuck in CLT overnight right after this video 🥲
Another great flight review! I've heard that AA serves a really good ice cream sundae in business/first class, maybe just on the Miami or JFK routes? I'll be trying AA international business class next year, your video got me more excited for it.
You should post a video! Would love to see it! And hopefully you get either the Super Diamond config OR one of the new business class seats AA is installing this Fall
@@__withMark Good idea! Thankfully I'll have time to up my camera & food critique game to your level haha far from it now.
Delta 🕺🏽
🫢🔥
Great review and champagne at brekky cant beat that i didnt know they flew B777s on a route like that
Thanks for watching! AA has select routes that change all the time that have lie-flat seats so I had to take a quick reposition flight from SFO to LAX to take this flight. AwardWallet has really in depth articles on routes that have lie flat across all 3 airlinrs.
@@__withMarkYep we took a flight on a 787-8 from Chicago to LAX in business class it was really nice
I flew this exact route earlier this year. It was a great experience. They also have the 777 in the Zodiac configuration which is ... Interesting
Thats really cool to know! I honestly had no clue if I was getting the Zodiac or the Super Diamond config before walking on the plane 😅 Did you end up in a rear facing seat?
@@__withMark I've flow both configurations on the LAX-CLT route. The config you flew is superior (more private).
Great to know I ended up with the superior product! Thanks for watching
United ftw
I see you
✈️ Which is the best: United, American, or Delta???
Can you upgrade the economy seats to business or you have to refund them and then book business seats when T-30 becomes available?
The latter. But make sure you have a backup option, I’ve heard more recently that JAL business at T-14 through Cathay is less common.
this is going to hurt the delta loyalists 🤫
I’m ready for the comments 😈
I was told to stir up drama in the comment section so YOURE WRONG
Amazing explanatory video!
For $100 , you shouldn't criticize at all!!!
Haha that’s true
Great coverage Mark! One thing to consider adding in a follow-up video is using AAdvantage miles, since it's always 40k in Y and 70k in J, with even fewer fees than Aeroplan. Two Barclays Aviator Red cards with the 70k bonus on one purchase, along with one Citi Platinum Select's bonus would be more than enough to cover a family of four's trip in Y. And with AA, they let you add a positioning flight free of charge, so it opens up doors for those flying out of non-hubs.
This is an awesome suggestion I appreciate it! I focused this video on Aeroplan since it’s a transfer partner of essentially every cc issuer, plus the VX/CSP are incredibly useful as cards themselves post redemption. I appreciate the tip and hopefully someone who’s AA focused can redeem!
@@__withMark yup for sure, Aeroplan points are way easier to earn than AA miles. But given that AA partners fly to more Indian cities, for a cheaper cost, with extremely flexible cancellation policies compared to Aeroplan, it’s hard to overlook this option in a comprehensive guide to fly to India on points.
Honestly United Polaris is trash I recently flew united polaris to Europe on the Boeing 787 the amount of leg room for you to move around is horrible and the flight was delayed for over 6 hours United is overall just a horrible airline. The food on the flight made my stomach sick as well
Great video Mark! It was because of you that I chose to get the VentureX and I haven’t looked back!
Thanks always for the support!!!
Polaris is nothing special for the cost. Delta is way better. Even Jet Blue has better business class
Nice one Mark, I've gotten great value before from both Aeroplan and Avios miles. Haven't been to India but I'm planning a trip there, I'll definitely look to these programs as a starting point.
Avios + Aeroplan points may have the widest rangest of uses across any world travel I agree. But definitely wanted to higlight how great of a deal 80K + $205 from US to India in Qatar Business Class is!
What about to Dubai?
Will most likely be an upcoming video!
🍁✈Other flights bookable through Aeroplan for 55K pts to watch out for: - Singapore Airlines - Singapore Airlines + Lufthansa - Lufthansa - Lufthansa + United - Turkish Airlines - LOT Polish Airlines
Brb sending this to McCombs
Did you go to UT??? 🤪
no plans to India, but with your help I was able to get ROUND TRIP business class to the Philippines!! so excited! 🎉
Congrats on the upcoming trip!
How about 12 Business rows (8 and 4 divided by gallery) is it new or old business seat? AF 137 ORD to CDG. Thank you.
Can you show how to use points with aeromexico?
Why is it when I follow your steps, the only things that pop up are 200K+ miles on it?
Nice video!
Thanks!
@@__withMark No Problem
Thanks for sharing about PointsYeah. I'm going to start using them going forward.
Wow! Who knew it could be that cheap and easy to get to the Maldives
Thanks for watching!
Hey. Great video. Any advice for family searches? I’m looking to book award flights for a family of 4.
Depends if you're trying to book economy vs business. For economy, you can easily search throughout the year and many flights will have 4+ seats bookable with miles. For business, your best bet is to book refundable economy cash tickets then search T-14 days from departure for business class seats bookable with points. Searching close in is probably the best way to fly a family in business. Or if you're willing to book 2 business + 2 economy tickets, then you have a better chance finding availability throughout the year.
Great video! Im flying in 1L later in the year from MEL to SFO and I cant wait!
its time
Exactly
Great video! When does the bonus end?
Thank you! No official word on end date yet, but usually lasts less than 2 months. Consider using the link in the description, thanks for the support!
My wife & I went to the Maldives for our honeymoon and loved it so much that we're going again next year. It's so worth it to go, so folks be sure to follow this great guide in making the trip happen. Appreciate the video Mark!
Great to hear! The Maldives is a top spot for a relaxing type vacation for sure. Hope this video helps others like you & your wife in their upcoming honeymoons!
great job
Appreciate it!
Thanks, I like your videos, nice.

saving that much on flights sounds like you just have more money to spend on food!! 🤑
Yes, the best cuisine in the world: Maldives Food!!!!!!!
Nice!
Thanks!
Moving to Japan July 3rd , hasn’t been availability for a while but still checking everyday
To be closer to my husband would it be better to choose middle seats?
Yes choose the middle seats if your priority is to be close enough to chat with your husband! If you're in the front cabin, choose an odd numbered row. If you're in the rear business cabin, take rows either 10 or 12.
