Yeah Nick and Nite used to be so good and so successfull, that years later they brought TV Land so they can air that classic shows content 24/7. But Unfortunately nowdays Nick at Nite block and TV Land all together doesnt have any variety at all, bro. But thank god there are channels on OTA TV 📺 that airs that type of content of Nick at Nite and TV Land like MeTV, Antenna TV, Cozi TV, etc and now MeTV is going to bring MeTV Toons on June 25, 2024 to air all the classic cartoons from 1930s to 2003, bro on OTA TV 📺, bro. We need to move all that content to OTA TV since cable and satellite providers are no longer feasible nor sustainable since everyone is cutting the cable and satellite due to high cost of cable and satellite services and the lack of content, lack of variety of the schedule, repetitive shows and episodes, full of commercials while paying a very high rates per channel and by forcing people to pay hundreds of channels that they never watch are the reasons that people cut the cord in the first place, bro. If Cable and Satellite didnt charge so much on the monthly bill nor force people to pay for channels that they never watch in the first place and if those media companies who licensed that networks to rebroadcast the channels on cable and satellite providers werent jacking up the license rebroadcasting fees to the cable and satellite providers and wouldnt have broadcast the same show all day long with full of commercials then none of this cord cutting wouldnt have happen or would have minimized the impact of cord cutting bro.

Another thing is that MeTV right now airing the classic shows, Toon In Me and the Saturday Morning Cartoons block has maintained the ratings from 500,000 to 600,000 viewers and sometimes up to 800,000 viewers for just airing the classic shows from Nick at Nite, TV Land and Boomerang, bro. I will assure you that MeTV Toons is going to be a huge success on the ratings too, comparing to Nickelodeon, Nicktoons, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Disney Channel and Disney XD, bro. Right now the ratings of those channels combined doesnt even reach 120,000 viewers on average and MeTV ratings never goes below of 500,000 viewers on average per day, bro.

I can remember when Nick@Nite was good. In the 1980s Nick@Nite was better than the shows in the 1980s. This "documentary" is useless and ridiculous. Pointless. By 2004 Nick@Nite was already dead for years.

nick@nite kept declining during the 2010s, they lost rights to many shows, they lost Full House and Geroge Lopez the problem is that Nick@nite's logo is terrible as the 2009 version logo was nice at first but by 2012 its current logo was terrible, by 2023 the logo changed but it still isn't the same

I remember watching Nick at Nite in the 90s when we got cable. I knew of some older sitcoms like I Love Lucy and The Andy Griffith Show, but I remember being introduced to many other classic sitcoms. I haven't had cable/satellite in several years. I've Googled their programming, and I'm so disappointed in what they did. They did the same thing they did with TV Land, the last time I remember seeing TV Land. They only have 2-3 shows. The same 2-3 shows on muli-hour blocks for the entire week. TV Land basically does the same thing. Now, I don't care if they show more recent shows. It's cool that you discovered shows I watched during their original run. I discovered shows my parents had watched on Nick at Nite, after all. My issue is that they should do no more than 1 hour per show. That was the old school way. 1-2 episodes per show per night. That way they could get more shows per night. They should never do original programming for Nick at Nite or TV Land (I remember when they had original shows on TV Land). I would love to create a channel that was basically TV Land but truly what it was meant to be. I would have some shows on every weekday. On weeknights, I would do a different decade every night. 50s on Mondays, 60s on Tuesdays, 70s on Wednesdays, 80s on Thursdays, 90s on Fridays. On weekends, I would do fun marathons of shows that lasted maybe just one season and have a Saturday and Sunday night movie night (Saturday would be a double feature). Late nights on Saturdays, I would do vintage infomercials. Late nights on Sundays, I would do a few vintage Johnny Carson Tonight Show reruns. Something fun. Honestly, MeTV ended up being the replacement TV Land. It's what TV Land used to be. I don't have cable/satellite anymore, but I can get MeTV through Frndly TV. TV Land was supposed to be Nick at Nite all day long. I guess it is now since it's just a handful of shows on repeat.

Nick at Nite started declining in the early 2000s, in my opinion. The wonderful thing about it was that there were several shows on, so you could have a variety of what to choose from. It wasn’t the same show every night all night. By 2008-2009, the decline of the programming block was well underway, never to return. I would still watch periodically because there were some shows left that I enjoyed watching, but it used to be an all night staple that would turn to an hour every night, and then I’d focus on other networks the remainder of the night for my viewing pleasures. After about 2017, Nick at Nite really started declining into 2-3 hour blocks of the same shows, with George Lopez being shown in the overnight slots all night. Now it is basically a Friends marathon all night. The issue is that if you’re not a fan of Friends, you won’t watch Nick at Nite. When they used to have a different show every 30 minutes or hour, they now show the same show virtually all night. That’s the problem, and it is the same reason why Nick at Nite is a shell of what it used to be. No variety, no bumpers or creative direction, just very industrial “Friends” all night every night.

I think if they started to acquire shows that teenagers actually like, or real "teen shows" off of Netflix or HBO, it might really revive the channel. The whole reason most teens back in the 2010s watched TeenNick was for Degrassi and Every Witch Way. Bring back the TEEN in TeenNick. That would surely revive the channel. And then they could start doing original programming once they have the audience for it.

I used to watch Degrassi episode on Teennick and other shows on there as well. I predict that in 10-20 years from now, so many cable channels will no longer exist. I do believe that Nickelodeon, Teennick, Nicktoons and even Nick Jr will still exist as brands and will continue to make new shows and movies but overall, I see these channel being hubs on Paramount+

I grew up with the 2008-2014 Nick Era, and at that time, Nick At Nite was mostly airing 80s & 90s shows like Full House. I remember watching Nickelodeon most of the time throughout Kindergarden-4th grade. And I was into the Nicktoons & the Sitcoms that Nickelodeon made, so I was confused as to why there’s this random show about a family who lives in San Francisco doing average things. Of course, I would eventually become a fan of Full House through the Nick At Nite programming block, but when I was a kid, it was new seeing an old show getting reruns. In fact, that’s probably when I discovered what the word Reruns means.
