What saw blade did you use to cut that strip??
It was probably a cheap blade from Home Depot but I don't know for sure.
Have you got any videos of building like square troughs/sinks out of solids surface ?
Yes, I have a ramp sink video but nothing on a square sink.
How do I fix the color if I went too far and it white in that area
Be more specific, I'm not sure what you are asking.
Can it scratch my phone's back glass?
I'm not sure about that.
jig saw seemed to be at a pretty low speed? What grit was that block?
I'm not sure the speed of the jig saw. I thought it was on the highest setting. The sandpaper is 80 grit.
Would this technique work on poly marble?
I don't think so.
Thnaks for sharing. Help getting the CNC or dxf files for Vcarve for CNC cutting?
What are you looking for?
Would this work for corner seams?
Sure it would.
Hi Corian designer white kitchen top. manufacturer made a mistake in measurements so my kitchen worktops are not equal in size. one side is one cm narrower. Manufacturer is saying that he cannot add a one cm piece to correct because the seam will show even with the left over pieces from the same cut since these would have changed colour through the years and they cannot round off the edge as is now. Am i being fed a load of BS
Is it Corian Solid Surface Designer White material?
Hi Andy! Thanks for your very useful videos! Unfortunately we have dark quarz corian kitchen countertops. I saw you are saying don’t get them but it’s done. So question is do we do regular sanding or there is some protection like foil or resin that coukd work well on corian? Thank you
Do you have quartz or solid surface countertops? There is a difference.
Solid surface corian
Okay, that can be sanded and refinished but it just takes finer grits and more time.
Thanks, Andy. Your videos give people a lot of confidence which they wouldn't ordinarily have. I know when I saw the scratch made on our new island counter top by our house cleaner I freaked out. You've calmed a lot of frayed nerves.
Thank you. You're welcome, I'm glad it helped you. Just seeing the process makes it possible.
did you put a door on this or just a curtain? With the curtain wouldn't the water come outside the shower courtesy of that seat you installed?
We did a glass shower door.
How do I tell what finish I have?
It's hard to tell but you are going to keep working the finer grits until it blends to the surroundings.
Can you sharer a link to the 2 part epoxy? I'm confused. Also can hard wax be used to fix seams on Corian ? Please advice
Hard wax will not fix a seam. amzn.to/4bZisBO
@AndyGraves hi, will this product you shared the link for help repair a crack along the seam? Also, there is a second crap off that same seam. What kind of material would gill that crack? Thank you so much for any advice you may have for me.
@GPG0000 this is the correct adhesive if you are trying to fix a crack in the solid surface. Make sure you buy the correct color adhesive.
@AndyGraves thank you! Will do that! It's a corian look alike surface most likely linen or everest! Is this a color match? What color adhesive comes closest to these? Please advice.
Can you make a video for a deep scratch? Would filling it with epoxy & sanding it help?
I may make a video with a deep scratch. I would not fill it with epoxy. Just sand the scratch but sand in a big area so that you don't get a dip.
@@AndyGraves thank you! Looking forward to your video! What grade sandpaper would you recommend for a large scratch/ crack?
If you left it on there and it made a small bowl in the counter, how would you repair this?
No kidding. There is no repairing it.
Just used your video to make a template for our new kitchen cabinets. To be honest, I had my doubts but it worked like a charm. On to constructing the countertop tomorrow. Thanks for the video.
Thank you, much appreciated. Glad it worked out.
Thank you, big help. Much appreciated.
You're welcome
where can i buy this machine from?
They don't make them anymore.
How about heat burn marks from hot pot? How to get rid of ?
You would need to sand with coarse grit until the burn comes out. Sometimes the burn is so deep you have to cut out and replace with a repair piece.
Sand the burn with a random orbit sander with 80 grit. After the burn mark has been removed sand with finer grit to blend into the surrounding area.
Where can I find the scotch pad
The link should be in the description. Let me know if it's not there.
Great instruction video, what if you just want to just buff your counter to restore to original luster?
Thank you. Just use a maroon or grey Scotchbrite pad.
Thanks for the video. Had countertop "stained" from a rust remover (phosphoric acid?) left on too long. Is it ok to start with 220 grit sandpaper?
I would try using a Scotch Brite pad first or a magic eraser. Start with something fine like 320 and see if that works. You can always go with a coarser grit.
Do you sell these as DIY flat pack kits?
Yes, we have. It's not really a lot like IKEA with instructions. It's a kit like you better be a seasoned fabricator with some skill type of kit. But they are cut on the CNC and ask the parts are there ready to assemble.
That was amazing! What if I have a counter top that is cracked all the way across (front to back)? It's still attached to the cabinet, but if it were removed from the cabinet it would be in 2 pieces.
You can just glue the two pieces together. No need to cut the slot.
I have a patch on my quartz worktop that is slightly dull after cleaning with bar keepers friend. Am I able to re polish this section of quartz using a similar method?
No, this is a different material.
@@AndyGraves yeah I know it’s different. Could in theory do this with a diamond polishing pad? Have you ever tried it?
Andy I have an axyz infinite 5012 and i had an E715 code the spindle its not grabbing the tool do you have any information on this? maybe i need to reset the high of the spindle? how to-do that? I will appreciate any help Thanks.
I think I had that problem too but I don't remember exactly. I would call axyz and buy a repair ticket for $100. Then a technician will call you and walk you through the process. You'll probably have to buy parts. Then when you get the parts they will help you get them working.
@@AndyGraves I really appreciate your response Thank you
How do you remove the circular heat stain on the quartz counter top? Is that permanent damage? Please advise
An expert may be able to reduce the appearance but it is probably permanent.
So we corian countertops and kitchen island. We love them. However our island has seams that have come unglued. How can this be fixed? We don’t know if this is from house settling or me pounding chicken cutlets🤪. My husband can do anything but he is avoiding this…but there has to be a way to fix this without replacing entire top. I can send pictures couldn’t figure out how to attach.
Send pictures to [email protected]
Is there a recommendation to clean a seam? I bought a house with these countertops, but there is a seam that is visible now (looks like it got stained with use) and I'm not sure how to fix it.
Can you feel a separation with your finger nail?
What program did you use on your CNC for this shower pan
AlphaCam. It has a built in module that makes it possible to do and it's automatic. There is not really any programming to do. You just define the outside and inside hole, it does the rest.
What speed are you using on the sander?
Full speed
What r the different grits you go through when sanding?
80, 150, 220, 320 and if you use finer grits it will get shinier. Use a.scotchbrite pad at the end.
Hi Again, I have the same unit, I’m just getting started with it, I have no operating manual so your videos helped me. I just need an initial set up information.
Initial setup information for what? I'm not sure I understand.
Hi Andy Would you be able to provide a video on initial set up of machine with material placement
I don't really make videos anymore.
Probably wouldn't hurt to flash behind the corners
For sure you could do that for extra protection.
it seems as though everyone has a different name for this? style
I know we get the same thing from architects.
Any links for the polished finished one?
No I don't have them, but check out my channel and you will see a couple of them.
Been trawling through, thanks! Trying to find some links. 😊

What's the weight limit?
I don't know, we haven't had an issue with it.
What about spider cracks in the sink basin ? Could you sand them out or is there something i could do to make it less noticeable ! Thank you
Once you have spider cracks the sink is no good.
Great video! Plumber used something called Clobber in drain of my corian sink. Noticed later, the blow back left what looks like drip mark stains in the sink. Will the method in this video work for getting those marks out, as well? Thank you
Thanks for the tip!
This is how she stay tuned
I think it depends on quality of the material, brand.
True. Top brand we've tested are pretty durable with regard to heat.
How do you remove the circular heat stain on the quartz counter top? Is that permanent damage? Please advise
Best example ever great job bro👍
Thank you. Much appreciated.
Love your videos .I was wondering where can someone buy corian
A local fabricator. What area are you located?
I want to finish my corian countertops. Is it possible to burn them/ruin them if the buffing tool has too high of an OPM/RPM?
If they get burned you just resand. Start slow, keep it moving and it will be totally fine.
Thank you!!
I need to know how to install it without the countertop
I'm not sure what you mean.
What about top that broke while moving
The material was cracked before I fabricated it. I didn't see the crack when inspecting the material prior to fabrication.
Would blue taping the cut line make a smoother finish?
Maybe, but the cut would still need to be sanded smooth.
nice too see mechanical fixings... seen a few sinks "drop out" and flood the kitchen!
Yes, having both is a great idea.
What holds the rods in place? Thanks!
What rod do you mean?
The bolts
@@duck_the_builder the tops are drilled and a fixing resin used to hold the fixings
