I think Chappel was strict towards his decision, and dhoni, uthappa, irfan, raina were his discovery, and in early 2004 if you would see dada was suffering from outside the off stump and it was very easy for everyone to get him out, actually sourav did the politics over there, otherwise he was never ever deserving to play 2007 WC, the thing MS did in 2008 by removing him out, if same thing was done by dravid in 2007 , definately India would be in winning proportion to the wc, in that tournament sourav was opening with Robin, a youngster and sourav was exerting pressure on him to play big shots, even though his innings against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka were so slow being a opener, he was unable to hit againt Bermuda in that tournament and regarding Sachin, he was no. 4 just because of slow pitches of WI, and if dravid can bat on number 5 , wht was the problem with sachin.
