    Another Great question! Before the end of the year we will be cruising Antarctica. This will complete our goal of traveling to all 7 continents. But, before we head to Antarctica we will visit the Hawaiian Islands, Canada & Colonial America, the Panama Canal & Costa Rica, the Caribbean and parts of Brazil & Argentina. Thank you for your questions, comments and coming along on our journey around the world.

    Thank you for your comments and coming along on our journey around the world. We had read some negative reviews as well as those that stated it was extremely busy before going. But not knowing the district we wanted to explore we thought this was the best option. Perhaps with more research we would have decided a taxi ride might have been better.

    Thank you for your comments and coming along on our journey around the world. The lounge chairs are free and first come, first served. Wow! 60 days in an inside cabin, you’re brave! I’m headed on her next week July 12th in a mini suite (16 nite Cornish, ireland, Iceland Scotland). I don’t usually buy this but the price on this cruise kept falling & falling. I did 3 rebooks with lower prices each time. I don’t expect much as she’s older outdated ship, just hoping to avoid foul odors. A comfortable ride at a great price $2,000 each. I am platinum on Princess & the food & service on 8 different ships has always been good. Happy travels !

    What were the costs of taxis in Japan? I usually just find a driver when I travel and pay for private tours? this is the first video you rented a taxi? did you happen to get your taxi driver phone number or email? I'm going to be there in a couple weeks

    Japan is AMAZING! And the people are just as AMAZING!!! You are going to have a blast. In Aomori we used an online taxi service and booked ahead. Below is the contact information. I believe you can use them in multiple cities. The price varies. Tokyo Taiyo Co., Ltd. Aomori Taxi Office 2-28 Ikuta, Shinmachino, Aomori City, 030-0135 HP:hk-grp.or.jp/aomori/ Taxi dispatch reception 017-738-6000 Sales/General Affairs Phone: 017-738-9977 Fax 017-738-6121 Email [email protected] Here is a copy of our email receipt from the taxi company showing the cost: April 17th New Chuo Pier/Taxi stand (pick up at 8:00) → Hirosaki 5-hour course → Shin Chuo Pier (arrive at 13:00) [Sightseeing taxi ¥30,000] *A taxi stand will be set up, so please wait there with your name board. *Payment can be made by various methods such as credit card payment. Please pay directly to the flight attendant on the day. In Hiroshima cruise port they had English speaking attendants to help you negotiate a taxi. Keep in mind very few drivers speak english, google translate was our friend. It worked pretty good. Thank you for your questions, comments and coming along on our journey around the world.

    Rrrrr Me Mateys Hello Andrea and Mike Can You Change Rooms During A Cruise? I Enjoyed The Video Nice Private Deck😊

  • @hubbardsjourney
    @hubbardsjourney20 күн бұрын

    Hi Anthony, yes we could probably change rooms if we put up enough of a stink but, we really loved our private -semi private-public balcony and weighed out the idea of packing, moving, losing the balcony and the hassles. We decided to just suck it up and embrace the situation and be grateful we had the opportunity to be where we were. As always thank you for your question and coming along on our journey around the world.

    Having sailed on multiple cruise ships and having a background in life safety and risk management I have watched multiple drills that the crews have performed and have talked with multiple officers about the drills and procedures for shipboard emergencies and was even given a tour of one the lifeboats by one of the engineering officers I met, I feel very safe and confident in their abilities to handle any situation that comes up. Plus the little kid in me was excited to watch how they raise and lower the lifeboats. 😂😂😂

    Was the scenery on the whale boat any better than the scenery from the cruise ship? Did you see any whales on the ship around Iceland?

  • @hubbardsjourney
    @hubbardsjourney26 күн бұрын

    Great questions. We normally would not do a whale watch excursion $$$ because we can see whales from the ship and the views are amazing from the ship. However, we figured we were in Iceland so why not give it a try. We did see whales on the excursion. We can say we did whale watching in Iceland but probably wouldn't do it again because the return on $$$ wasn’t worth it for us.Thank you for your question and coming along on our journey around the world.

    tip from a previous traveller & for those wondering. drop your bags and travel partner off at the terminal before going to park the car if driving. (500m walk from carpark 3 to terminal) then it is a 500m walk from check in to the doors to the ship. (so wear comfortable shoes, AND have a small bag/backpack for your essentials and paperwork. the rest sent to room will be there by 2pm)
