Painting For Your Soul:
I apply my abstract techniques to Art Journal pages to enable you to have a wonderful experience of Art Journaling for your own soul...it is great mindfulness therapy! No drawing skills needed, just let go and enjoy! I find it more rewarding than journaling words. *My goal is to show that you don't need to be a talented artist in order to paint, play, get lost in the moment of mindfulness for your soul. It's just a paper art journal! You will be doing this for YOURSELF. There is no pressure to achieve perfect results. I show fun techniques to get you started. I show how to EXPERIMENT, LET GO and PLAY with the paint, watch how it behaves, LEARN from it. It is a positive & rewarding time that you gift to yourself.

I have been an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists since 2018. My career as a Fashion Designer always involved art and colour, which I now apply as a painter. I believe in the amazing power of our energy.

    I just wanted to let you know that Gamlin’s Cold Wax contains gamsol which means, you should avoid direct contact with skin. I use a wad of cheesecloth to apply and then a clean cloth to buff.

    Use a waterbrush or water on a round brush, to outline the area of tissue paper you want and it pulls away easily and makes an organic edge!

    Hi I'm loving your videos atm. I have only just discovered you do you use wet strength tissue or any tissue. I'm having a particularly hard time as I lost my hubby 2 weeks ago today and my dad had his last rites today. I'm also suffering from covid and have been unable to create for several weeks. Thanks so much for sharing your process. I look forward to eventually playing with my gel plates and art journal much love and support xxx❤

    thanks for your comment. I purposefully record with the volume on halfway because it irritates me to click on a youtube video that blasts loudly...as so many of them do. I don't want it to be that annoying. I feel it's easier for someone to increase their volume if they need to, rather than turn them off the video right away with a loud voice. Thanks again, Im glad you enjoy the videos :~D

    These are great! You mention it can be "any" tissue paper but are you using "wet strength" tissue paper for artists in your demos or the cheapo Dollartree kind you would stuff in a gift bag?

  • @PaintingForYourSoul
    @PaintingForYourSoul18 күн бұрын

    thanks for your question Diane. Absolutely the cheap Dollartree kind you would stuff in a gift bag...YES. I purchased a box of it from the retail-supply wholesaler- the kind stores would wrap your clothing in when you buy it, or stuff in the gift bag (because I also use it to wrap delicate purchases). *Months ago I bought 'Acid-Free' tissue so it would be archival.....it is terrible for my technique- it does not dissolve when I glue it down with matte medium, it is 'crispier' and wax-like. I printed on it and tried to use it and eventually I threw all of that out of my stash. So go buy the cheap soft kind and have fun. it doesn't need to be aechival anyway...its not for a gallery-canvas painting for sale....its just a paper personal art journal ;~)
