I first watched the Modern Times when I was only four years old and my dad took me to a small local theatre. I will never forget the ecstatic feeling Charlie's moves and dances made me feel. Then my mom told me that she had met him in person with his family at a movie theatre when she was just a little girl growing up in Switzerland and I was super jealous! Charlie was a genius! The type that we will never find again! He was a great man because he was down to earth and was kind and caring. He has eternal life in the hearts and minds of whoever have known him and love him!

Modern Times as with all the Sir Charlie Chaplin films being shown on Sky Arts just made me laugh but also realise how talented this guy really was. Moon walk before Michael Jackson perhaps he inspired Michael as he must have so many. RIP and thank you. My husband has not long passed away and I thought I would never laugh again.

Damn I feel like I got Rick rolled lol. He never did a moon walk, the tape was just reversed but pretty sure the moon wall was a mime trick. And no michae Jackson was never the fire first person to do it.m even if it wasn’t a mine truck. He learned it from that guy from shalamar, forgot his name but a quick google will bring him up. He’s even on video doing it before mike but he also taught mike a bunch of other moves.
