For Kopun, would you recommend we go for lunch or dinner?
Tanin Market! I used to stay very near there. Fantastic place! And you are right to go with a Thai person. I would wander through there without a clue what I was looking at. Then I went with a couple Thai friends which completely changed everything. After that I shopped there a lot.
Black risotto and Dalmatian pasticada with gnocchi. That's traditional on Croatian coast. Also, the Croatian fish like John Dory, Red scorpion fish or Amber Jack is something you must try. The tastiest fish in the World.
Very informative video! Some dishes are a no for me though😂
How tall are you, my guy?
lol 183-184cm. Why?
Great video! Love it!!
Thanks so much, Suay!!
Hey guys, my wife and I really enjoyed your food tour .Going back to dubrovnik in July we can't wait to try the places you recommend. All the best. Darren and lou,lou xxxxx
Hope you enjoy my friend. Just a heads up, Csezar Street Food has permanently closed since filming this.
Yummy!!! Good job Jeff!😀
Thank you my friend
Chef-y food so i suppose some of those dishes the ordinary Thai won't commonly have either (particularly the raw and fermented stuff)
Hi Elf, Actually laab (raw water buffalo salad) and the fermented pork is very common in the north of Thailand and sold at numerous establishments. However, how many Thai's actually eat the raw version of laab I am not sure. I would assume, especially with the younger generation, that they probably gravitate towards the cooked version.
Ramly burger is top 1 ❤
Love it
Hey great vlog, glad you enjoyed Moroccan food, nice couple 🫡
Thank you! 😃
PURE food.. NO chemicals, Fillers. What the U.S. used to offer…
Hi! I was late for the party. Was indisposed since Friday😢
No worries Sadohr. I have been completely over whelmed myself lately
In 1866, the method for making tjendol (Cendol) aka dawet, was published in the Dutch East Indies Cook Book. This is written evidence that cendol has been a part of Indonesian people's lives for 400 years. The word "tjendol" is also in a Dutch dictionary published in 1869 which shows it as a Javanese food.
Now i am craving for the same food 😂
Apologies for the late reply my friend. Things have been a little crazy these last few weeks. But thank you for watching
Enjoy watching . Great video! Good luck brother!!
Thank you, Suay
As always, nicely done Sir and looking forward to next week’s gastronomic offerings!
Thank you my friend
I'm starving just by watching the Dinuguan
still smh at how you can eat one bowl after another after another. will try one of those if i'm ever in Chiang Mai
I seem to be pretty good at eating these days , Elf. 😂 It's also why I am turning into a fatty🙊
I love a good noodle soup!!! Awesome and I got the first comment!
You're awesome my friend. Anyway, back to work for me
Are you a fan of Khao Soi? Which one in the video do you think you would like best?
I am learning new words and dishes every week thanks to @PureDetour! #BestFoodieShowOnTheWeb
Welcome to Thailand sir 🙏🏻🇹🇭💕
Thank you so much my friend ❤️🇹🇭❤️
Yummy food .
Thank you for watching my friend
So funny you mention the Rincome food court! Back in 2001 that was the very first place I ever ate in Chiang Mai. Through a series of mishaps I arrived in Thailand without my luggage or my bank card. That was all resolved the next day, but I was in Chiang Mai with nothing but a paid hotel reservation and a couple thousand baht in cash. I ate like a king at the Rincome market! My favorite part: getting a cup of hot sweet corn with butter, condensed milk and some jelly beans. Best of all, I was able to buy some clean clothes to hold me over till I got to the bank the next day. That market saved my b**t and gave me a very positive outlook on my trip.
Great story my friend. Was it a busier place back in 2001? I have been by there multiple times and there is never anybody there. Both times I have eaten there there is nobody there. On a Friday night at 7 pm there is nobody there. Both times I have eaten there I was the only person at the market. It baffles me why nobody goes because they have pretty good food there
You are a very good food vlogger
Thank you so much my friend. 🙏 Glad you enjoyed it
Wow 😮 yummy 😋 you make me hungry 🤤👍❤️🇦🇺
Thank you for watching my friend🙏
Its always a quality dish when its from Chel Jayp's Restaurant!
A heart problem? Most people these days 💉
What?
I love Max McFarlin's content also. Just curious what did your American and Russian friends think of the snails. You probably already know, but snails are a sustainable and affordable source of protein.
They liked the snails too. All three of them are full time travellers as well so they are a bit more on the adventurous side. And you are absolutely correct about snails being and sustainable and afforable. What a great comment, thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment
Enjoy eating 🥣 stay safe and healthy! See you next video
Thank yo so much, Suay. Always happy when I see you in the comments
aargh, envious of all the food (esp the veg) you're eating. been so busy all I've been eating is bread, noodles, pasta these past couple of weeks.
Elf, please go get yourself some real food.
I was late to comment! Im sad. Forgive me.
Done
Another great food tour! Never had a roti that is sweet! And the sausages...I am famished😂
Thanks for tuning in Sadohr. Your support means everything to me
@@PureDetour Love your content😉😉😉

Welcom.to.moroco
Oh, I miss that Thai food! Very nice food tour! I'll be back there this summer and can't wait!
I've missed it too my friend. My favourite cuisine in the world
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much
Do you have the contact info of the tour guide Jian?
Hi Lillybeth, I have left links to Jian's most popular tours in the description of the video.
Wow… i would love to try that brother!
Which one, Alan?
@@PureDetour i wanna try the pad kra pao ❤️🤭 hehe
If you're going to Bangkok try Polo Fried Chicken (Soi Polo). Masarap!
Heading to Bangkok next. Great suggestion Lloyd. Will do my best to get it in a video
Hey Geoff, are you gonna try Mark Wiens’s restaurant and try level 10 (special order, not on the menu)💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
I filmed Phed Mark on my last trip to Bangkok my friend. I didn't know he had a non listed #10 though. I tried both his #4 and #5. The Moo Pad Kra Pau was good but nothing special. The Wagyu Pad Kra Pau was very good.
pad kra pau . its just ok, its nothing to boast about... 4/10 theres so much better food...
Everybody is entitled to their opinion my friend. For me, I have travelled the world and it is by far my favourite dish I have eaten in any country. And yes, that includes any dish I have eaten in Italy or Mexico (my 2nd and 3rd favourite cuisines)
Thank you for another great food tour! Now I am very hungry😅😅 Where's the Pad Thai though?
I'm honestly not the biggest fan in the world of Pad Thai, Sadohr😬
@@PureDetour Oh....I understand.
Yeah sorry, Sadohr. I have always found Pad Thai to be too sweet although I did have a good one in Koh Samui my last time here
@@PureDetour That is my fave Thai Food but after watching this video, I have to try other dishes in a Thai resto😉
@@sadohrs8431, on that side of the world most of them will be somewhat boring. If you can find it and like curries I would recommend Penang Curry. Another to try would be Khai Soi. I am going to be doing a video dedicated to Khao Soi while I am here
Enjoy your day! Welcome back.
Suay! Great to see you again. Thank you for the welcome. What else should I eat here? Will be in Chiang Mai for a few more weeks and probably heading back to Bangkok for several more before I leave again.
mea
pad kra paooo
The best ever
what do the betel nut leaves taste like?
Hi Elf, slightly bitter and slightly nutty is the best I could describe it. Maybe a bit of black pepper. Not spicy in any way but I’m sure you get what I mean when I say black pepper.
