This is the situation between me and my friend, I get the feeling she hates me sometimes and overall she’s toxic. We’ve been friend’s for forever but I’m not sure how to end it?
@malodymave2 ай бұрын
I'm so sorry she gives you that feeling. You should never feel that from a "friend". I recommend trying to create some natural space first. Saying no to plans. Then, when you feel ready you have to just rip the bandaid off and let them know that you don't feel like your friendship is good for you right now. Honesty will always leave you feeling best, even if it sucks in the moment. I also actually JUST posted another youtube short about this (specifically how to eliminate the guilt of cutting a friend off) - check it out!! (my lastest short)

And do negative ideas just float around in the heavens? Do they just appear in someone's brain? Are all of your friends ontologically negative? Destined to be whine bags from birth? It's not just a matter of hanging around negativity. If life is shit, which it often is, then people will react in a manner which suits it. Sure negative attitudes influence perception but viewing all of the problems that your friends face through this individualist lens of how they're affecting me is harmful. This is so overly reductive and excuses the causes for such misery. Exercise a little empathy and realize you can't just think happy thoughts to solve the worlds problems.

You cannot bare the weight of the worlds problems on your shoulders and shouldn't pass on your problems for your friends to bare so that they can suffer with you. That is selfish and harmful. Of course we should lean on friends for help, but if your friends never contribute anything positive to your life, ask how you are doing, or talk about anything besides their problems... they have a lot of work to do on themselves before forming close relationships. I'm sure you wouldn't say what you just said if your best friend came to you with concern that they want to leave their partner because their partner never does anything kind for them, only complains and takes, and makes them feel miserable.. am I right?

Before the digital age and Autotune it took more than 100 takes for there to be enough audio for a studio to edit together a "perfect version" of a song to sell

The thing is that besides autotune we in the industry use a lot of humanisation effects as well, to make it ‘sound natural’ but still autotune. So humans perceive it as natural but if you actually listen carefully it sounds nothing like a real voice, but it feels and sounds amazing so people don’t notice

YES!!! Yes exactly, great point. 👏🏼 and it sounds beautiful and really enhances a song. I just want to spread some hope to new singers.

I’m glad you have the knowledge to decipher between real and fake! 🫶🏼 there are even some templates and plugins available to change your voice to a completely different singer - like if you wanted to sound more like Ariana grande or Britney Spears, you could completely spoof your voice. It’s actually pretty wild and makes me curious what a lot of trending artists actually sound like! 👀

I’ve been a singer my whole life but health issues left me with a weakened singing voice and I’m struggling to find strength again 😭 if I try to open up my airways and sing I warble and/or miss the notes. Do you have any tips on strengthening your voice?
@malodymave3 ай бұрын
I’m so sorry you’re going through that, I personally know what it’s like to lose things due to health issues. I hope you are getting better or healed now. 🤍 As for strengthening your singing voice after that, I believe just daily warm ups before singing, consistency and time will heal and help. As well as voice care like staying hydrated, avoiding caffeine or alcohol, no yelling or whispering, and maybe try breathing in moist air. It would also be interesting to try out your new voice if it’s completely different and try a different range / approach it as a new voice completely. Best of luck on your healing and singing journey 🙏🏼
