I actually have made some beautiful ones using sheetrock mud. Slathered it all over, dried then sanded them down and mud bath. They baking soda paint. But you did a beautiful job. Found someone new to watch. Most of new KZreadrs I do not follow.❤
Sheetrock mud is such a great idea! Actually genius- it would add such a great texture. I’m going to have to try that on another project! Thanks so much for watching and joining the community. So good to have you here 💕😊
First where did u find that gorgeous vase? Great job, I recently have become obsessed in doing this. I redo and sell on MP. I sometimes have a hard time parting with them that my house looks like a store. Lol Love your video can’t wait to give it a try.
Oh my- thank you so much for watching!! I found the vase on Facebook MP haha. It was actually bright lime green originally- so I painted it black until I decided on this project. MP is such a treasure trove! I totally get the difficulty in parting with projects lol. Would love to see how yours turns out!! 💕😊
You have created a beautiful vase!!! Yes it’s a crazy amount to pay 700.00 for a vase even if I could afford many of the vases from OA warehouse store in LA only. As I so love all their decor, it’s great to have the artistic side to create these vases.
Oh my goodness you are so kind! Just made my day ❤️ I totally agree - I love their decor but love the personalized touch of a DIY. Thanks so much for watching, Ann! 🤗💕
Yours is my favorite out of all the dupes! Where did you get that vase?
That is so kind! Thank you so much. I found the vase on Facebook marketplace! It was originally lime green, believe it or not 😂
Seen a few of these and the end result here is the best. Think I'll do less of the mud to save me from brushing it off😅 Thanks!
Oh my gosh, thank you so much! Such a kind comment. Haha the mud is definitely an added mess 😂 Would love to see how yours turns out! Best of luck 💕😊
The mirror was NOT restored. All the person did was stain a frame. It's bizarre watching this that this person thought she was restoring anything. Nothing was restored; what took place was a frame refinishing. All the sanding, etc., is standard prep work for a stain job. The mirror was never touched.
Thanks for watching! Whatever I did, it looks better than it did before 😉 I did not attempt to re-silver the mirror though. I know my limits!
Absolutely! We’ve been in our home 5 years and I just realized the vibe and style that fits us …so I’m changing things up now
Yesss!! There is no timeline! ☺️❤️
My kind of girl! Love diy like this. Excellent job, and one I have done. Now inspired to do again 😊
Yayyyy!! You’re my kind of people 💕 Love that you came across the video. Thanks for the compliment! Happy DIY-ing 😊
Great job! And you know, Olive Ateliers is very expensive but I am not sure, and this is my humble opinion, that the vases or urns or jars are that old or vintage or antique, I think that many of them have their patina made exactly as you did, so kudos to you! Atelier means workshop/art studio in French, I suppose that they need many studios to transform their goodies ☺️, just my opinion.
Thank you so much!! ❤️ Ya know, you might be on to something. Probably needs an investigation to confirm business practices 👀 I’m not making any allegations, but I know that marketing can really spin words to sell products. Thanks for watching!! 💕
This is outstanding! Thank you for producing this. x from New Zealand.
Thank you so much! So glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching 💕 x from Texas ☺️
We'll be in our house 6 years in August. Still no dining room set, no new floors, not much decor on walls. Just no time unfortunately lol. One day. 😂
Haha the struggle is real! One day, for sure! We’ll get there 😂
Don't let these crazed MaCenna fans bully you. They should take their own advice they often give out. If they're bothered by your content, they can simply not watch. Do not go back and forth with them, don't let them tarnish your channel.
I am happy to see others defending this creator. Kindness prevails. Peace to you and others.
A few large cardboard boxes, duct tape and some blankets and you’ll have an awesome fort in no time. Great for reading books, going to the moon and napping.
😂 Wait, this is perfect! Everyone needs a fort room!
Your brick arches are amazing!! Please keep them 🥳
They are so cool!! They’re 100% staying where they are ☺️❤️
Big shoutout to all of the amazing creators whose work inspired this bathroom makeover! LOVE this community! More to come in Part 4 💖
If the title of your video included the name of the original creator that could even help drive traffic. "I Tried So and So's Technique" is a video series I would watch!
@@oaklandcookie Ooooh, I love this idea! Thanks so much for the tip. So great to have you here !💕
Looks like you've taken inspiration from Macenna! it's lovely <3
Absolutely! I draw inspiration from various creators I admire, including Julia, Macenna, Lucy, and so many others. It’s all about celebrating within the community. Thanks for tuning in! Sending love right back at you! 💕
Your lamp is even better than the one for purchase. Unique and personalized. You have true talent.
What a blessing - peace to your household and everyone who enters. You will make this a beautiful home.
I like hearing how you planned the bathroom. Very interested in seeing how it turns out.
What an impressive frame. I would have thought you bought it from a store.
Wow, this was very cool. Your walking through the process was very helpful, and you have a very quick wit and are enjoyable to watch.
This is helpful for people that maybe get stuck and don't know what to do. Good idea for a video and thank you for the tips.
I think the video turned out dim, but I still watched. Very good finds. When will you restore the small tables?
Hoping to restore them this summer! On the project list for sure ☺️ Thanks so much for watching!!
Wow this is beautiful, really. Very good process and easy to follow.
I am inspired by the green. It reminds me of a forest or a jungle. Curious to see how the end result looks. Very beautiful, Taylar Madi!
Thanks so much! The green is perfect- we love it! 😊
This is very impressive! I used Retique it last year and loved the outcome, though I used a water-based stain. Will you seal it?
It’s such a cool product! I do plan on sealing it with a poly topcoat in the near future. Thanks for watching! ❤️
I liked hearing you…not sure what it was. Maybe I resonated with your thought process 😊
Aw thanks so much! Sounds like we’re like-minded. So good to have you here ☺️💕
This is amazing! Now I'm thinking of all the places we can do it in our house! Did you end up using the whole bottle of retique it for the bathroom, or have some left over?
For real, I can’t recommend it enough! I want to Retique everything… but practicing self control and moderation haha. I only used about a third of the whole container. It’s rather thin and goes a long way!
I need to try it!!
It’s actually shocking! I think you’ll love it!
That is crazy cool!! I’m thinking I need to use that on the walls in the garage around my work bench. I wonder if it would work on painted drywall…🤔 I need my work area to be surrounded by wood. Then on to the Subaru. 😬 You said metal, right!?
Haha, wood everything! I mean… it *says* metal but I absolve myself from any negative outcomes 👀😂 Thanks for watching!!
I’ve watched tons of these dupe videos and yours is the absolute best!!!!!!!!
Oh my goodness, that is the best compliment ever!! Just made my day. Thank you so much for watching! So great to have you here 💕
It’s hard to believe that the vanity had ever been white after you used the retique it and stain😲it looks amazing!!!
Right!! It’s mind-blowing! I’ve got to practice some self discipline because I’m about to retique everything I see 😂
SOOOO COOL!!!!!
Such a crazy transformation! Still can’t believe it!!
I think the little vase is alabaster. Be careful, it breaks easily.
Ah, good to know! I’ll be super careful. Thank you so much! ☺️💕
Beautiful! 👏👏👏👏👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🥰🥰🥰🥰
💕💕💕 Thank you so much!! That means so much to me! ☺️
This is going to be beautiful 😃
Thank you so much!! I’m so excited to share more progress! 💕☺️
What you are actually doing is a refresh of the bathroom… but I’m here for that too new sub!
You’re so right! Definitely a refresh. Thanks for watching! So happy you’re here 💕😊
Wisdom! ❤️
🙌🏼❤️
Hi Mr. Finley lovely spring weather you’re having by the looks of it. 😍
Mr. Finley loves the spring breeze in his hair.
I love the way it turned out. That was sure worth all the layering!
Thank you so much! Honestly, well worth the layers. Trust the process 😂💕
Amazing the difference the paint made! Any tips for using painters tape? I always struggle! When do you take it off? Excited to see the next steps!
Crazy right?! Paint changes so much! Painters tape can definitely be tricky. My top tip would be to put the tape down and do two coats using 2 colors. For example, the line between the green and white, the green would want to seep under the painters tape. So first, I did a coat of white paint over the painters tape so the white bled through… onto white. When it dries, that creates a seal, so I can then go over it with my green paint and get a really sharp, crisp line! Some people use a wet cloth to “seal” the tape down, but that only works with the green tape and it’s a 50/50 success rate in my experience. The “two color trick” works every time. I hope that helps!! 💕 Thanks for watching - can’t wait to share more soon!
The simply white instantly freshened up the space and those brass towel bars pop😍the green is amazing, so much cozier/designed!! Can’t wait to see the floors and touches of warmth❤
Ahh thank you!! It feels so good seeing the end results. So good!! I can’t wait to share more soon 😁💕
LOVE IT!!! Thank you for sharing your project with us!
Aw, thank you so much for your sweet comment! ❤️ Welcome to the community- so good to have you here!

Ahh!! 🙌🏼 Can’t wait!!!
Excited to see the outcome! Great idea to talk thru the process of organizing it all too. Best of all- Finley’s Mohawk 😂😂😂
So excited to dive in and start!! 🛁 Haha Finley’s mohawk brought out a whole new attitude. 😎
I love your planning process. Can't wait to see how it turns out!!
Thank you!! I’m excited to share progress!! 🛁🚽🪞
Yay!! Cannot wait to see the design come to life❤the flooring is amazing! I’ve wanted to use retique it on my bathroom vanities for a while, can’t wait to see how it works for you!
Yesss, so excited to get to work and see it all come together 🎉 Definitely curious to see how the Retique It turns out!!
Wow looks great!!
Aw, thank you so much!! 😊
