Lots of stuff on this channel. Abandoned photography trips, timelapse photography, and microstock / stock photography. And some DaVinci Resolve content. That's about it.
Just found your channel. Great stuff! I have so many pins on Google maps for abandoned buildings that I've driven past without my gear. This video is a good kick in the ass for me to go back out and capture these treasures. You eluded to 'trespassing'. If I have to climb a fence, I generally move on.

Thank you for the motivation. Watched your video till the end. I wonder why you do not upload to blackbox anymore. I am thinking the same not to as I am uploading on multiple agencies since January this year. I have no luck yet. Yes, working with photo stocks is so darn hard work.
@JWhyte123Ай бұрын
Honestly, I like the control over submissions when submitting because every agency is a little different. I find I can submit directly and get the asset accepted because I know the agency well. With Blackbox its a generic submission and I feel like there is a higher rate of rejection and its very difficult to know what happen because they don't tell you which site has accepted or rejected.

Hey Jeff thanks for another interesting update. I had a particularly strong month (and BMEs) With Adobe Stock and iStock in May. Pond5 did well too, Shutterstock very ordinary. Overall result for May was $1884.33 + $28.40 for SS contributor fund for a total of $1912.73. I'm definitely not expecting these better results each month but it's good to get a break to the higher side every now and then. Quite glad now my application with Motion Array was rejected. I read some poor reports about this agency.

Hi Jeff, out of curiosity how many clips do you have with Blackbox? Thanks for the insight.
@JWhyte123Ай бұрын
184 clips uploaded - some of which are pretty marginal. That said, I have had a number of sales. Just not many.
@LakesideProductionsАй бұрын
@@JWhyte123 ahh ok. I had been uploading to Pond5 solely in the past and moved to Blackbox 4 and a half years ago. Making consistent income with 10k+ clips now. A few hundred clips at the beginning were pretty low quality to be honest but I've since honed in on them going forward. You should give Blackbox another run.
@pwx8460Ай бұрын
Thanks. Always good to get a reference point. Some of the ridiculous RPD sites raise some eyebrows. Motion Array, less than 17 cents.?!? Not sure allowing them to take advantage of your work to that degree is a good idea. Yeah, I know none of the RPDs in stock these days are great, but that's obscene.
@JWhyte123Ай бұрын
Yes. That's true, totally agree. The thing is that there are way more sales on Motionarray. So if you look at it by monthly revenue per image uploaded rather than per image downloaded, you get a number that is pretty comparable or better than the other sites. Royalty per download can be misleading in a way. As far as RPD generally? Its better to look at an image long term. With micro..... 1 download is never going to be good.
@pwx8460Ай бұрын
@@JWhyte123 Sure, but there would be even more downloads if they just gave it away for free and you earned 0 for an RPD. How many of those sales could have been with your higher RPD sites if Motion didn't exist? I don't think rewarding sites racing to the bottom will be good for your portfolio and business long term.
@JWhyte123Ай бұрын
I have had the exact same thought - consequences long term for participating in a site like Motionarray for my portfolio on the better stock sites. I don't have a great answer. I could say they have different client bases, but that could change long term as you say. The free stock photo libraries have been a disaster for stock. And AI might kill this all anyway. The business generally looks bad in the future regardless of the Motionarray vs. shutter stock vs. adobe stock, etc.
@pwx8460Ай бұрын
@@JWhyte123 Yup AI is scary for sure, especially for studio type work easily 'created' in AI. Never understood the business model of the free sites (nor why people contribute), just some side-bar add revenue or something else. Best of luck in 24' and hopefully beyond....

Hey Jeff, it’s also because you pack your bag wrong. The drone sits good. If you have your bag in front of you it’s the drone left, the remote furthest away from you on its side, with the screen away from you and the antennas on the right, then the flap makes sense too, you’ll see, the flap makes that you have a square container for the batteries. And you can still easily fit a freewell nd filter case, the big one in the front and you have room to spare still😉
