Total time from actual racing 10:24.085 which is the time that matters. It's been years since I played this game but I'm almost certain that the limit is around 10 minutes. The Lizard is much faster on the first 2 courses.

no, lizard is slower if I use shift down / up trick lizard doesn't have WR at all course

@@arms08yuki84 It's 100% better in Over Pass City. I can't remember my best times as my PS1 is in storage but you can get up the hills quicker and round some corners more efficiently *if* you know how to drift it properly.

@@philadams9254 no, WR is 2'57 driven with Vanquire / Victoire at over pass city using shift down / up strategy. hope you can prove that you can beat wr with Bulldog / Tempest but don't think TAS can beat even

I think a 20.1xx lap is the limit and always thought 19 was impossible. I remember doing it back in the day by hugging the inside wall a lot.

@@MONSTERSUPRARZ I can’t really drive it! Can you give me some hints to improve driving? I can’t manage drifting at all: Sometimes drift starts but i can’t stop it and i loose speed (brake before turn, start to turn then push gas again), other times i can’t drift and I hit the wall (remove gas before turn, turn and push gas again).

@@alex8thebest91 releasing drift and braking drift are different things. braking drift is way easier but if you want releasing drift then you have to change grip settings to lower. don't press left or right much to adjusting to be straight is only advice for Ghepardo otherwise Erriso will be better choice

is the acceleration different on NTSC? You seem to much easier peg RPM on oval on the assoluto car compared to PAL.

no neGcon makes faster (or I should say not decrease as much as normal controller) cornering if you meant to say how I get 230mph / 370km/h consistently otherwise there is no difference between NTSC-U and PAL, but NTSC-J has slower car

I LOVE that I wasn't the only one who abused that weird hitting wall, downshifting then upshifting glitch. You just sort of start of doing it instinctively because you found out about doing it by accident while pre-empting the normal slowdown when you hit track sides.

@@Dunkedyret you ever wonder why Ridge Racer type 4 is called type 4? It's because of this game. This is Ridge Racer 3 even though it doesnt have "Ridge" in the name, the same way Ridge Racer Revolution is Ridge Racer 2 even though it doesn't have "2" in the name. Songs of this game often appear in OFFICIAL RIDGE RACER MUSIC ALBUMS. This is Ridge Racer 3. Heck, all of this game's car brands appear in Ridge Racer type 4 and subsequent games. That is enough proof.

@@friskycalibri2293 Okay Well i am wrong in the regard of they have nothing to do with each other. But this is not RR3, and your reasoning for RR4 is also not right. You have RR1, 2 and RR:Revolution then Rage racer and RR4. So with your calculations it should be named RR5 not 4. To me Rage racer is so much different that it could have its own series. Both in style and how the feeling of driving the cars.
