    Beautifully articulated. Also, just wanted to mention that there is a specific field within psychology that is called Dance/Movement psychotherapy. It’s a masters/phd level, requires licensure in many states in the US, as well as board certification. Dance/movement psychotherapists specialize in utilizing movement and dance as an assessment/diagnostic and interventional tool. Aside from how psychically dangerous it is for people to be in an environment such as the one portrayed in this movie, it’s also unfair to all of us who are seriously trained clinicians in the field of dance/movement psychotherapy when we are lumped in the same category with uneducated (and in many cases unethical as well) teachers who claim to be “pole therapists”. If so, where are their credentials? Licensure? Education? What state governing bodies hold their behavior accountable ? Where is the specific code of ethics? What are the legal requirements in each state that allow them to provide said “therapy”? As a licensed mental health clinician, I am unable to get or keep a job without being able to prove that I meet the necessary requirements to support human beings in crisis. And I have to undergo clinical supervision and my own therapy, as well as peer supervision, in order to serve my patients to the best of my ability. Not to mention ongoing continuing education. That’s what all psychotherapists, dance/movement psychotherapists included, have to do. It’s the least we can do to support those whose trust we are eventually able to earn, not to mention the legal requirements!

    Is there a good way to ask the price for a girl to sit with you for an hour and talk maybe have a drink? I know it's mostly dancing but sometimes a guy wants something subtler maybe more snugly. On a related note.Is there a good way to ask a girl to sit with you and help you pick out who you want to dance for you? Or is it inappropriate to ask a girl's advice?If she's not the one you're going to want to dance for you?

    So basically, Touch me as little as possible and give me as much money as possible. This is the best video for dissuading a guy from going to a strip club ever. Not that what you are saying is unreasonable! It's just really eye opening the utter contempt sex workers have for men. female companionship is far better when it's free. Once a trick, always a trick and tricks don't get shit for free.

    Question for you. I have been meaning to get a private room. Have a sexy lady beat the memory of her out of my head. Build me up and tell me what a terrible person she was. Is that really something a girl is going to want to do in the room? How do I figure out which stripper is going to be the more sensitive type before I spend a bunch of money on her.

    Money talks so bring plenty, be kind, respectful, charming, dress nice, SMELL GOOD, and have fresh minty fresh breath and you will get WAYYYY more than your money's worth. In my years of visiting strip clubs I have been asked to "play outside" several times by girls. So remember my friends follow these steps and you will be having so much fun with gorgeous attractive girls. Much more fun than trying to get girls who have their bitch walls up.

    I'm going to push back on some of the things you said. 1. As a customer, I didn't "waist her time". If she wants to sit and talk for 10 minutes and then ask for a lap dance, that's her issue. For all we know, she could just be friendly 2. I don't know why some of you strippers have this silly thing about not wanting to be touched at all. Excluding your lady parts of course, if I'm tipping you money, I should (and do) touch the girls on stage and I've never been kicked out or warned about it either. 3. Don't forget that you are there to sell a fantasy and provide a way for people to escape for a little bit of time.

    the dancer defines the parameters of the entertainment, not you. if that entertainment does not include touching, you have NO RIGHT to touch them. touching is only acceptable where and when explicitly indicated and consented to by the dancer (or any person for that matter, literally consent 101). this type of entitlement is scary.

  • @Mr.MallyMall
    @Mr.MallyMall Жыл бұрын

    @@m.bellelove7397 Sure it includes touching. If you don't want to touched, don't be a stripper. If I didn't like water I wouldn't be a lifeguard. Strippers should follow that mindset.

    Thank you for clarifying things about pole dance I stopped watching the documentary as soon as Shela shamed a girl to go get a haircut, while the girl didn't want to. Can we also talk about one of the studio's teacher, who were a bit ashamed of her weight, and everyone was like "yeah you should loose 25lbs". They were like "society doesn't like women's curves" at the very beggining and then proceed to put doubts on her about her own body image That pissed me off no one told her she was looking fine and nothing was wrong with her (Also isn't it the worst thing to say to someone with a history of eating disorders? especially since Shela was very aware of everyone's traumas) Kinda looked like abusive behaviors with a pinch of cult vibes (I agree with y'all in the comment section) Anyway, awesome review ! PS : Gorgeous shoes in the background

    my number one question is how is best to get a dancer u like to come over to your table ? there are some who will walk around ask everyone if they need company, while others tend to stand on the side or walk aimlessly, or even stay in the locker room , (i realize when on stage u can ask them to or mention u want private dance when they have time) i have when no other solution works to ask a waitress for help, i would never ask another dancer to tell the dancer i like !

    Really good tips, the best one was about not having to have the whole choreography planned, just main moves and freestyle. I have a competition coming up and this is the first time I’m making a long two pole choreo. When making one for a showcase I realised I spent way to much time trying to choreograph every second. I also find freestyling to your song helps with improvising if something goes wrong

    So, as long as you're tipping and paying, are strippers usually cool with giving a lesbian a dance? I'm thinking of going for some drinks and entertainment at a club I work near, but I'm pretty nervous. I'd be my first time in a club. The girls come in all the time where I work to buy energy drinks and stuff, and they're all really cute, but I don't want to walk in and be ignored. Sounds like I wouldn't be, but again, nervous af.
