My aim with this channel is to teach you how to paint your Warhammer or wargaming armies in a fast efficient way, getting them to a decent table top standard, without stress or an airbrush for the most part! I focus on miniature painting tutorials that are also suitable for beginners, with some tips to take them to the next level if desired. I also have a huge interest in 3D printing so I review products in order to recommend the best for you guys!

I think it is funny that genestealer cult heads look like Klingons almost... like the ones from the first season of star trek discovery (they had weird bald heads and more refined head plates)... you did an awesome paint scheme, if it was me I would have probably added some of the magos purple and mixed it into the highlight colours (ie kislev flesh and such) just to bring more purple hue into the skin...looking forward to your next video of course, and the one you do of the terrain, maybe you can then show off both killteams, instead of just the one model of each?
I would love to see the orange and black scheme on some drukhari
The Regimental Enginseer on the shelf at home: 😢
Purge the alien! Well, maybe you can paint them, instead. They look horribly neat. Thanks for sharing.
When you paint the Votann kill team can you please paint the iron kin in the trenchcoat. Most drip of any 40K model
Actually managed to get in early on Element and grab a copy this morning
Cracking job as ever. Would be interested to see your take on a winter themed genestealer cult model
I cant wait for votan video
Happy Hisssss Noises ! 🐙
Another amazing video bro ❤👏🔥
Any tips for the consistency of the paint when stippling. I added the paint to a wet pallet and this must have made the paint too wet causing the stippling to smear in some places.
Why did you use a wet pallet for a dry technique. Of course it smeared everywhere. It’s straight from pot to drybrush board. And then remove most of the paint. I suggest you watch the video again. And really watch how I take the paint off the board.
@@MediocreHobbies I paint in an area where the paint dries out quickly so tend to use a wet pallette for everything to stop the paint from drying too quickly. I'll try from a pot but large dry brushes aren't easy to get into a pot or get an even distribution on the bristle.
This scheme would look ace on a Blood Bowl team.
My favorite part was when Tim barked behind the camera. I wish I could bark like that! 🐶
Do you have a video of how you go about picking what colors to use? Like matching your base colors which are contrast paints to your highlight colors which are the acrylics? Or do you just pick the scheme you want then choose a darker contrast paint to match the acrylic?
Echoing what someone else here said: Great colour scheme and lore! I'm working on my own homebrew Chapter at the moment: THE SHARKS OF OMEN. Their name, a cheeky play on Arks Of Of Omen, started off as a placeholder.... BUT IT STUCK because it wasn't long before I realized that it fit the GrimDark way I wanted to paint them better than the other names I entertained. The Chapter is organized into 7 Schools named after the following, actual Shark sub-species (though two of the Chapter's Schools have modified names): 1. GREY REEF: The Characters, HQ, and Veterans 2. HAMMERHEAD: Aggressors and Terminators. 3. THRESHER: Intercessors 4. TAURUS: Assault Intercessors (I went with Taurus because "Bull School" sounded lame, but their School's insignia is a Bull's head) 5. TIGER: Outriders and Speeders. 6. CALIGINUS: Scouts, Reivers, Incursors, Infiltrators and Eliminators. Caliginus is a play on "caliginous", which means "dark, dim, murky, obscure, dusky" and there's a species CALLED the Dusky Shark. 7. MEGALODON: Warsuits, Dreadnoughts and Tanks. The Chapter's armour is coloured Abyssopelagic Grey (a custom colour of mine, essentially a deep/navy blue-green grey) with Black pauldrons, and glowing Orange lenses in the helmets. They're both Fleet- AND planet-based, their Homeworld an ocean planet called Pelagios whereupon their Fortress Monasteries and training facilities are situated. The Chapter draws recruits from the populations spread across the planet's 7 moons (Epos, Mesos, Bathyos, Abyssos, Hados, Demersos and Benthos).
I’m new to all this painting stuff for 40K and I bought the new army speed paint 2.0 and I have no idea how to make this paint work, it seems way to liquidy, I don’t underhand how to thicken it up and actually make the colors look like they are suppose too..
You need to be using a bright basecoat to make them work and you don’t want them thickened. Shake well and use them to get some nice basecoats on your models. I use contrast in most if not all of my videos. These are the speed paints from games workshop. I suggest you have a look at a few more of my videos to get an idea of what I mean.
Great video. Please do more
Is anyone making lightning decals for nightlords? It would be pretty easy to make cool looking lightning crackle transfers I bet, for anyone who does that and might be reading
good movie with some great chase scenes and the birth of eleanor the mustang. movie is gone in 60s
It’s one of my all time favourites!
The mighty orange and black😍. I'm just finishing up my Questing Paladin on foot in the same scheme, and I can confirm, orange and black can do no wrong 😅
Moved to an apartment building with not much opportunity for spray priming anymore (noo you can't have aerosols) 😭😭 Can you use regular citadel black base paint as the prime layer or would it be better to get something like one of those Tamiyas black/white ?
Fancy doing the Celebrants?? :P
Simple and nice looking.. damm!
Glad you like it!
Oh my God, this made my day! <3
Haha glad you enjoyed!
Can you do a Dark Krakens scheme at some point?
As a guy from the Orchard County, I can appreciate an orange colour scheme lol! Awesome job
A Yellowjacket is another name for a hornet in the states.
I love your use of orange and black, and it works really well for space marines! If you ever do chaos marines, I’d love for you to do the Warp Ghosts and the Pyre. Both are lesser known chapters but look really promising! Thanks for another great video!
Watching and listening to you paint is so relaxing. This is a really sweet scheme, and the quartering effect is beautiful It would be interesting to see how this scheme would look on the chaplain of the Sentinels. Keeping the chaplains armour mostly black and not quartered, with a subtle use of muted oranges somewhere would be nice to watch. Please keep making these. It is educational to see how the same paint scheme looks across so many different armies and games
Hey love the paint job what is a list of all the paints you used?
Very neat looking scheme! I think you should keep the enemy a secret to make the game more interesting.
i hope the skull mountain comes back i did a set with my aunt as a kid and want one of my own
Oh that would be awesome! Seriously hope so too 🤞
Looks good very good !
Thank you!
Nice one Andy just perfect video for me to paint up 2 units for CSM's new codex. Would you say the xpresspaint contrast Lizard green would be a good subsitute for the plaguebearer Flesh colour armor?
Second time commenter! Wanted to let you know I love your positivity and enthusiasm you bring to your hobby! Thank you for entertaining us.
Ah cheers man, really really appreciate hearing that! Thanks so much for watching and glad you’re liking the content 🙌
my favorite speedpaints with vallejo xpress coming in second, I have not used citadels contrast yet....really looking forward to getting the army painter fanatic set and some monument hobbys pro acryl
I do teal and orange for my Luna Wolves remnant chapter.
Another great painting job. I see them as being fleetbased and utilizing mostly assult based marines for rapid response with terminator and dreadnought units as heavy support when needed. Love the foundation lore you have started.
What if they found a still functioning foundry silently creating an army of Men of Iron? Slowly churning out a new army of revolt.
Would love to see a Soul Drinkers marine. Purple can look so good when done well!
Yep loving that orange, I’d like to see you try and make it work on a renegade marine as I think it’s going to be too heroic, but I’d love to see you prove me wrong. 😃
Frostgrave is GREAT! I am playing it since 6 months and sooooo beautiful!
Blood Ascendant
Would look great on Tau. Orange armour with black spot colours and markings would be cool. Do not think it would work on Orks, High Elves, Necrons or Seraphon. Although the Skinks would look awesome I don't think the Saurus would work.
I would love to see a Gladiator tank done in this colour scheme 👌
Awesome! A Dreadnought in that scheme would look stunning, and I could definitely see a Sentinel of the Hallowed Star member of a Deathwatch Kill Team.
Do you thin your contrast paint? I am trying this method and the contrast (AP speed paint) is so much darker than what you show
I installed them on paint-stirrer sticks, covered the sticks turf and called them good. They've been used for years......
