Loving these videos. I agree with trying something new and move the edges. I wasn't impressed with the forges on the market so I just redesigned my own little ribbon burners, almost copied Mr. Spencer's treadle hammer but went with a rarer guillotine version with interesting results. Never stop learning.

Sadly, the sound drops out at 1 hour and 18 minutes into the video and doesn't come back. Picture freezes at 1:35 for the rest of the video.

I subbed and look forward to checking out your vids. Black bear forge is how i found your channel, so thanks to him. Thanks for the vid, i have used coal, from a home made forge i used, and made a few knives. Now i use propane and enjoy making tools for the wilderness and around camp.

Peter Ross has high wisdom and simplicity. These videos contain valuable information for anyone who is really interested in the work and forging of iron and steel. Thanks for making all this available... Thank you very much!

Too bad the equipment he is using is substandard. That anvil is incredibly noisy; Is loose and the base is wandering all over the shop. This school needs a class on how to maintain tools exc.

The fact that Mark Aspery uses a Brent Bailey hammer says volumes about the quality of a Bailey hammer.

What a happy surprise to stumble on this video. Like many others I suppose, I’m acquainted with the work of Peter Ross from his guest appearances with Roy Underhill on The Woodwright’s Shop (PBS). Peter is as erudite and entertaining as he is skilled at his craft.

Fantastic, even if it is hard to make out, Mr. Whitaker is a joy to watch and listen to. You can learn from him by osmosis I believe and the love for smithing can be felt deeply; provoking me to the anvil and fire. Thank you.

The audio was very low but otherwise I think the condensing/editing went pretty well. In person a 3 hour demo is fine, but on KZread 30 minutes is usually max.
