Hi, I had 1K0 953 549 AH module and replaced it with 8P0 953 549 F, now controls are working but i have problem with power steering. Is it possible to fix it by coding (one guy that works with audis told me its impossible to code it and that i need to buy correct module) or do i have to buy another module and which one?

@@LukaOstojic-x1q 8P0953549F works for all 8P models. So, your power steering error can be fix by coding. Just be sure to not forget the steering angle sensor on the old control module, if yoir car had it on the controle module. Some cars has angle sensor near the engine, and some cars has it on the control module. And check the pins to be in good condition.

Foarte bine explicat ,am o mică problemă și nu știu dacă schimb calculatorul de sub volan îmi va funciona comenzile pe volan, am un Audi a3 1.6 fsi sportback din 2008, avea volanul simplu fără comenzi și i-am pus unul cu comenzi și aș vrea să-l fac să meargă , am găsit să cumpăr calculatorul slms 8P0953549F și nu știu dacă ar fi bun pentru a mea mașina ca să fac să meargă comenzile , am pus vcds pe mașină și am văzut pe steringwheel ca am acecest calculator 1K0 953 549 AH și m am uitat pe forumul de la vcds ca modelul pe care îl am eu este midline și ca nu ar funciona sa activez comenzile pe volan așa ca nu am încercat să-l activez ca să nu fac vreo prostie , și m am uitat pe net pe mai multe forumuri și am înțeles ca calculatorul ăsta 8P0953549F pe care vreau să-l cumpăr ar fii cel mai bun și pentru comenzile pe volan să funcționeze și tempomat , pentru moment nu vreau să-mi pun tempomat vreau doar ca comenzile să-mi funcționeze și vreau să știu dacă calculatorul ăsta care vreau să-l cumpăr ar fi bun pentru mașina mea ca să fac volanul să funcționeze … aștept un răspuns din partea ta , mulțumesc !!🙏

In 2024 this is still a great guide, I did a MFSW and Cruise control retrofit on an a3 8p and this video and tutorial was spot on. Great work and thank you very much to Bogdan. Had a couple of errors showing after the retrofit but I was able to sort them out with VCDS. Great work on this guide.

In cazul meu nu a fost nevoie sa schimb spira. Daca spira are 4 pini aurii si 4 pini argintii, nu e nevoie sa schinbi spira. Am schimbat doar modulul. Vezi ca am scris totul pe pagina mea, linkul e in descrierea clipului.

Nu le mai stiu. A trecut ceva vreme de când am făcut clipul. Știu că 8P0953549F merge pentru toți anii în care sa fabricat A3 8P. La spiră nu mai știu codul, dar știu că trebuie să aibă 8 pini, dintre care 4 pini trebuie sa fie aurii pentru airbag, și alti 4 pini argintii pentru claxon si comenzi volan. I was trying the installation for my self but damaged the rubber sleeve that the wires are ran through in the upper trunk area. Is it OK to leave the rubber seal loose or is it important to have the seal back in its original state?

Arată la fel la toate. Diferența este la maneta de lumini, la faza lungă. La mașinile cu xenon, ca să aprinzi faza lungă, trebuie să tragi de manetă spre volan și maneta revine înapoi la poziția inițială. La mașinile fără xenon, tragi de manetă spre volan și maneta rămăne acolo, nu mai revine la poziția inițială decât dacă o împingi tu ca să stingi faza lungă. Asta e diferența dintre ele, dar dacă cumperi manetele greșite se pot converti folosind piese de la maneta de lumini pe care o ai deja pe mașină. Vezi pe siteul meu. Gasești linkul in bio.

I use this rear camera with chinese navigation. The red wire is "+". The ground is on the video cable. The video cable is made of two wires: one is inside, for video signal, and the other one is around the first one and is for ground. My english is poor and is very hard for me to explain. Both red wires are for "+" and you can use one. No need to connect both. In my video, the ground is from RCA connector from navi.

Da. Maneta de pilot funcționeaza identic pe ambele modele. Diferența dintre manetele de lumini este de fapt o mica piesa din plastic din interior. Poți sa iei acea piesa din maneta ta veche și sa o pui in locul celei din maneta pe care ai cumparato. Vezi pe canalul meu ca parca am facut un video despre asta. Sau pe pagina mea. Gasesti linkul in descriere.

It supports, but is different than 2006-2012. Your steering wheel is single stage. Is not dual stages. My webpage is based on dual stages steering wheels.

No. You need 8P0953549F for 2004-2012 (NFL+FL), or 8P0953549K for 2009-2012 ( FL).
Great detailed to do the job properly. However if all you want is to replace the trims,these can be pried off and new ones glued back in.

Pry with a flat screwdriver and a cloth ,so as not to scratch the airbag cover .The tabs will break off.
I was trying the installation for my self but damaged the rubber sleeve that the wires are ran through in the upper trunk area. Is it OK to leave the rubber seal loose or is it important to have the seal back in its original state?

Arată la fel la toate. Diferența este la maneta de lumini, la faza lungă. La mașinile cu xenon, ca să aprinzi faza lungă, trebuie să tragi de manetă spre volan și maneta revine înapoi la poziția inițială. La mașinile fără xenon, tragi de manetă spre volan și maneta rămăne acolo, nu mai revine la poziția inițială decât dacă o împingi tu ca să stingi faza lungă. Asta e diferența dintre ele, dar dacă cumperi manetele greșite se pot converti folosind piese de la maneta de lumini pe care o ai deja pe mașină. Vezi pe siteul meu. Gasești linkul in bio.

I use this rear camera with chinese navigation. The red wire is "+". The ground is on the video cable. The video cable is made of two wires: one is inside, for video signal, and the other one is around the first one and is for ground. My english is poor and is very hard for me to explain. Both red wires are for "+" and you can use one. No need to connect both. In my video, the ground is from RCA connector from navi.

Da. Maneta de pilot funcționeaza identic pe ambele modele. Diferența dintre manetele de lumini este de fapt o mica piesa din plastic din interior. Poți sa iei acea piesa din maneta ta veche și sa o pui in locul celei din maneta pe care ai cumparato. Vezi pe canalul meu ca parca am facut un video despre asta. Sau pe pagina mea. Gasesti linkul in descriere.
Poți chiar sa refolosesti și maneta ta originala daca printurilw de pw ea arata mai binw.
Iți trebuie puțină indemanare,ca sunt piese micute inauntru.

It supports, but is different than 2006-2012. Your steering wheel is single stage. Is not dual stages. My webpage is based on dual stages steering wheels.
